I had some great recent character interactions I thought I'd share. The first was last week, when DS4 bought his first pin. He chose Chip and Dale (his favorites) riding Grizzly River Run. We were at CA and walked out of Elias & Co. just after buying the pin, and he saw that Chip and Dale were just taking a break from their meet and greet. I was worried that he'd be crushed that he'd just missed them, but he ran up to Chip and ripped the pin off of his shirt to show him! Both chipmunks stopped in their tracks, admired the pin and were really excited, giving him high fives and personal attention. It made his trip! I had to buy a new pin back but it was worth it!

The other fun one was when I took my mom on Star Tours (her first time). For some awesome reason, storm troopers were walking through the line. This was also last week, so I didn't expect them to do this! I told mom to look behind her, and she jumped in surprise. A few minutes later, I was giving her a hard time for not realizing she had a storm trooper shadowing her, when I felt a tap on the shoulder. I turned around and one was behind me! LOL! They moved on, and the cast member with them said, "Nothing to see here."

Anyone else have any good stories?

As a matter of fact I do! We were in CA this past week and my mom noticed that Minnie was meeting guests. My daughter went over to get in line, but the line was closed. We saw a photographer standing nearby and asked if Mickey would be coming out next. We were told that he'd be out in about three minutes. So, we hung around and chatted with the photographer for a bit. My mom then noticed Minnie was out again across the street, so we went and got in her line. When we finished, we were musing that Mickey hadn't come out. I turned my head a saw him further down the street. My daughter ran to get in line and ended up being the last guest allowed in the line. The photographer's camera died two people before my daughter. When it was her turn I just handed the photographer my camera to use. At the end of the session, Mickey tucked her hand in the crook of his arm and strolled all the way down the street to the lockers, where he met up with Minnie. Then he and Minnie went off stage together. This whole time the photographer still had my camera and was documenting the whole stroll down Buena Vista Street. I ended up with some amazing shots of a very special character interaction! I was in tears of joy!

On a Halloween night, I was dressed as Princess Leia and was waiting by the bathrooms near the Opera House for Han and Luke when Cruella came over and stood next to me. We then had what felt like a five minute conversation about whether Wookies made better coats or rugs (I always play along) and then she demonstrated her Wookie mating call that she planned to use if she ever met Chewie in person before walking off to the cast member area. The kids around us were in total shock. I had such a hard time keeping "in character" and not laughing, she was hilarious. :chewy:

Another really cool M&G was with Woody this past week. My daughter was dressed as Jessie and Woody was so bowled over by her. When the meeting began, I asked the photographer if she would take a shot of him signing her book and was told no. Then she looked at me ( sitting on my scooter) and asked for my camera and took a few shots of it. Then she gave it back and took shots with her camera. The antics between Woody and my daughter were incredible. He took her book (which I had made on Shutterfly and included pics of Woody and my daughter from last October) and showed it to every person in line. The He was hiding in the corner with the book so he could write a secret message in it ( turned out to be some cute drawings!) He must have spent a good five minutes with her. He didn't want her to leave. He was following her out making heart signs. It was so precious! The photographer ended up taking 28 shots on her camera and about 10 or so on mine.

Ok, one more really great experience from this past week.

My daughter had written a letter to Peter Pan before we left on our trip. She included a picture of herself in the Zarina costume I made for her. She told him a little about herself and that in all of our trips she had never been able to meet him. She included a little sword and pan pipe she made out of straws, and a little Tink paper doll she made. She also told him about the costume in her letter and explained that her wings and sword hadn't arrived yet, so weren't in the picture. She ended her letter with a hug ( just in case she couldn't find him again) and said all she need was a little pixie dust and she could fly. We gave the CM who checked us in to the GCH the letter to deliver to Peter Pan. The next day I was with my brother when he was checking in and the CM came back with an envelope for my daughter. With the envelope was a large, light up Tinkerbell wand. Inside the envelope was a Tinlerbell pin with pixie dust, a signed photo of Tink, a signed group photo with Tink, Peter, Wend, and Captain Hook, and a lovely note from Lost Boy Jeremiah. Boy the tears were flowing! So, as if this wasn't enough, we walk into Disneyland and head to the Matterhorn and who do we see? PETER PAN!!!! My daughter about fainted. I have no idea what all they talked about, but they both sat down and chatted up a storm!

The next day she wore her Zarina costume and we saw the fairies then went to Minnie's breakfast. Peter Pan came over and spent so much time playing with my daughter. He even had her chasing Captain Hook around the restaurant. It was unbelievable!

Last September at WDW, we were in Fantasyland strolling along when we saw the Evil Stepsisters and the Evil Stepmother walking to their M&G area. My daughter was dressed up as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and the 3 of them walked right up to her and started a conversation. Saying "Oh, Sally there you are!" "Are you a rag doll?" They spent at least 5 minutes talking to here in the middle of FL while a big crowd formed a circle around them watching my daughter and them talk. There was a Disney Photographer with them so he took several shots of the this conversation and added them to my photopass. Then they just went on there way. It was the coolest thing. I told my daughter they picked her out because she was dressed different than all the princesses they are used to seeing little girls dressed as, and it pays to be different!

On her way backstage, Mary Poppins took the time to 'stroll' with each of us two adults so we could take pictures! We are smiling so big in the pictures, just like star struck kids!

In September last year we had tried a few times to see the Tangled show at the Royale Theatre, one day it was cancelled due to the extreme heat, we showed up another day at the time it had been on the day before - didn't look at the sign - sat down and it was Beauty and the Beast (my bad), next try show cancelled again! but the cast did a meet and greet. Everyone was told to line up and that we could only have family group shots not individual as they were short on time. Anyway the 2 actors who keep the whole thing going (can't remember their names) started chatting to my kids asking where we were from etc (Australia). We got to the front and up my 3 went, me with camera in hand waiting for a quick snap. Rapunzel and Flynn started chatting to them and then the first 2 guys chimed in again - it turned into a fantastic interaction/skit where Rapunzel pinched the tiara from Flynn's satchel and hid it (I truly didn't even see her do it!), my daughter was wearing a little satchel like handbag and Flynn got down on one knee in front of her and started searching through it commenting on her very special pressed penny (the look on her face was hilarious), the included the kids to look for the tiara and it was found finally with Rapunzel, they signed their autograph books and joked around quite a bit. I snapped of so many photos but did not think to switch over to video any of it (much to the kids disappointment) - I think I was just so ready to snap the quick photo when it all happened I just didn't think. Oh and we did finally get to see the play another day before we left :)

Oh just remembered one more a meeting with Pluto in Toon Town - my daughter was wearing her Snow White Princess dress, Pluto bowed to her, took her by the hand spun and danced her around, then made her 2 brothers join him in bowing to her! so funny and awesome photos.

Man all these stories and reminiscing makes me miss it so much, wish we could come back.

When DD was two we took her to DL for the first time. Our first day we did Minnies breakfast and Minnie gave DD a ton of attention. At one point she got DD into an open area and was dancing with her. DD was mesmerized and Minnie had to make her dance by moving her arms. When Minnie let go DD stood there with her arms out away from her body like she was frozen. It was priceless !

The next day we went to Toon town magic morning and Minnie again fell in love with DD before the show. She took DD by the hand and guided her around toon town showing her all the different things you can do (buttons and such). It was great and DD still tells people that Minnie did that (she's 6 now).

After the show however we got to meet Donald who DD was excited for and she gave him a huge hug. But when it was time to say bye Donald went to give her one last hug and accidentally knocked his beak into her forehead. It knocked her on her butt where she went from stunned to sad and started crying. The rest of the trip she didn't want anything to do with Donald and kept saying "Donald gave me owie".

Aw, what a sweet and fun thread. I am enjoying reading all of your stories. Thanks for sharing. I got to meet Minnie last month at her house which was fun. Last December I met Pooh and Tigger after the Pooh ride. I am looking forward to doing Minnie's breakfast this December.

When the Hunchback show was on…. really dating myself, Captain Pheobus kissed my sister's hand. She was in heaven after that for the rest of the trip.

When my husband and I went for our Honeymoon eight years ago we watched Merlin do the sword ceremony. Merlin was going to pick two people from the crowd to see who was the rightful King. He pulled a very cute young boy (perhaps 10) and then he must have seen my husband's "just married" pin, because he picked him too! Then he proceeded to refer to my husband as "Handsome Knight" and made my husband do a bunch of embarrassing things in front of the audience like pucker his lips and flex and do funny poses. Then my husband tried and tried to pull the sword but couldn't do it, so the 10 year old tried and pulled it out no problem. The crowd went wild for this young kid and he was so happy he beat the big Knight :)

We met the Evil Queen for the first time our latest trip. She is hilarious!!! I had so much fun watching her interact with all the kids in line. She was kind of mean to them, and the looks on their little faces ... they couldn't figure out if they wanted an autograph and picture or to run away! She taught my daughters how to stand like evil queens, then made them bow to her before they left.

Pretty much all the characters we met were so great! Nothing felt rushed, they all took time to really interact with DD.
