Our first trip was booked by our guide when we started the purchase process, so this was our first time successfully booking a reservation.

We love MNSSHP and F&W and are thrilled we booked our home resort (BLT) for Oct 16-23. We booked a studio, figuring we'll be out of the room most of the time and saving points. They had all categories including standard available. I have to admit, part of me thinks about calling back and switching to standard view. :rolleyes1

We're thrilled that we get to use AP and TIW for 2009 and our 2010 trips.

Can't wait to see the details for Ko Olina so we can start our 2011/2012 planning.

I agree -- its fun calling MS to make reservations. We, too, will be making our first visits to MNSSHP and F&W next year, but our trip will be about three weeks before yours (9/23-9/30/10). My brother will be with us for the trip, so we booked a 1-bedroom standard view at BLT for two nights, and a 1-bedroom savanna view at Kidani Village for 5 nights. My only fear about booking a 1-bedroom is that we might find that veteran DVCers like Deb & Bill are right: once you have a 1-bedroom, you'll never go back to a studio!

We will be down there the same time as you. I just called on Sunday to book our home resort (AKV) for October 15 - 22.

We booked a 2BR value room at Jambo house.:thumbsup2 It is nice to have the 11 month booking window to get the value rooms...only 208 pts for a week in a 2BR!

Congratulations on making your first home resort reservation. We even have countdown clocks for making reservations. The whole planning and preparation to go to WDW is really part of our fun which is capped off with the actual trip.

Oh and ... pixiedust: Welcome Home!pixiedust:

I have to admit, I got chills when they answered the phone this AM with "Welcome home", I mean I knew that's how they did it, but making sure I had all my info inline as I was calling, I totally forgot and it caught me off guard :goodvibes

Congratulations on your booking success. Hope you have a great time in September. That's normally when we go, thought we would try later in 2010.

We've read many people posting that once you go to a 1-bedroom, it's difficult going back to studios. We have 4 days in a 1-bedroom at BLT coming up (Dec 6-10) that our guide Ron booked for us during our purchase. Hoping we don't get too spoiled.

Thank you. Completely agree with you on the planning and preparation. My siblings already thought I was Disney obsessed before DVC. If they only knew how it's been since we joined DVC. :lmao:

THat's great!!

I just did the same thing this AM

It is exciting.. Cya in 11 months :)

Very exciting. Congratulations on your success. Hope you have a great trip.

I felt the same way. We've called before to check on waitlists and other things. Calling to make the reservation at 11 months has that extra magic.

Now for the funny part, we're thinking of adding a couple extra days on the front of the trip. We already have the AP, so tickets wouldn't cost anything extra. :cool1:

A couple of days here, a few more there. Pretty soon your trip might overlap our September trip!!!
