Here is our quick run down on our 12/7-12/12 wet, but fun WDW trip...
WED 12/7- nice early am flight from Boston, landed at MCO by 11:30am. Disney Magical Express- great! We were at the CBR within 1 hr. We were very happy w/ our room at the CBR- Trinade/North. The kids were happy when we entered our room to find a small cute towel animal. After putting some items away( we had shipped down some bottle water and snacks), we went to the bus stop and hopped onto a bus to the MK. It was cloudy, but warm, low 70's. First stop, Casey's -YUMMY! I'll put another report on the restaurant link. We timed this just right, grabbed an outside table, a little before 3, perfect place to watch the parade. After seeing the look on our DK's faces' you know that all the penny pinching is worth it! Then off to do some rides ( 20/25 min waits- not bad!). Back to the hotel around 7 to grab a bite to eat at the Old Port Royle. With full bellys, walked around the hotel grounds, back to our room. Waitting for us was our luggage( good job DME!). Good night!
THURS 12/8- Off to eat at the Trails End breakfast buffet over at the Fort Wilderness Campground. My DS's requested we go back, one of their favorite places last time. With full bellys we headed to Epcot. Oh..forgot to mention, with full rain gear ( yellow poncho's), not a 30 min Fla. shower, steady rain. Temp again in the low 70's. Spent most of the day in the front part of Epcot. Tons of charaters- think that felt bad for all the soaking wet kids and their parents! No test track b/c of the rain
, FP for Sorin- not bad, 1 hour. Went back w/ my 6yr old DS, got right on, and may I say, BEST ride for me this trip. I loved this ride. My DS was a little scared, with the fireworks at the end- not one of his favorite passtimes! At 3:00, met up with friends who had just arrived at the GF. The GF looked so beautiful! We waited in line to buy some of the gingerbread shingles- Yum! Had to bring some home to my parents who had seen the special on the foodnet work. Said good-bye, off to take a quick rest b/f dinner at the Whispering Canyon and MVMCP. When on our way to dinner- yup, still raining. Great time at the WPs, a chours was there singing X-mas songs, the lodge was beautiful ( DH would love to stay there sometime). Walked down to the boat dock to catch a boat over to MK, and yeah....the rain had stopped! We arrived 8:30ish to the party. Now, we had heard mixed reviews about the party,so were eager to see if we had made a mistake. My DK's had their picture taken w/ Santa, walked on most of the rides ( except Peter Pan- to long of a wait), loved the parade, the fireworks, enjoyed the free hot choc. and cookie. I couldn't believe that my DD stayed awake until 10:30, and DS's almost closed the park, staying there until 11:30! We would go back to MVMCP in a heartbeat- great memories!!
FRI 12/9- Slept in, grabbed a quick bite down at the OPR. It was a very cloudy/but warm am, bathing suits went on, down to the pool we went ( hey, we are from N.E.- this is like a heat wave for us!). After a fun time, got changed ( DD put her new Cinderella dress on) and off for a lunch at the castle w/ Cindy and friends ( yup- our DS's 6 & 9, not to happy!). It was worth the 90 days b/f, calling at 7 am, 3 days in a row, to get into here. They anounce your families name, special photo shoot w/ Cindy, then up the stairs you go. Super fun time ( I'll give more details on the restaurant link). When we left, stepped outside- hey- great- rain again. Good thing we had our yellow poncho's! Few more rides, more autographs, started to rain heavy, back to CBR we go. Light bite to eat, off to bed.
SAT12/10- Down to OPR for a bite, then back to Epcot, time to do the countries and hey, NO RAIN! Got there at 10, countries don't open until 11, so we waited in line to Talk to Crush! So fun to see the kids reaction. This was really cute. After strolled over to the countries. This was definately a favorite for all of us. My DH and I wanted to sample food or drink from each country. Canada- Cadbury choc. bar- one I haven't seen in the US. He bought 2, the 5 of us shared it. United Kingdom- while watching a really funny audience participation in the road show ( Scrooge) we shared fish n chips. France - stopped at the bakery ( of course!!). Italy- just smelt all the beautiful perfume. Morroco- the kids shared a fruit smoothy, DH and I shared a beer. America- looked at the great gingerbread house. Germany- shared a pretzel, beer, and bratwost (sp?) Dh loved this...in the army he had been station over in Germany for many year ( b/f DW and DK's) great flashbacks! OOppppss China- loved the tin toy display. Japan great show w/ all the balancing people- brave! Now we were running out of time- early ressies for dinner. Quick ride in Norway- met a really nice couple from NY, hope they enjoy Jonny Damon!!! The kids had me take pictures of them w/ sombraros on in Mexico. Ran to the front of the park to catch bus back to CBR. Here comes the rain again..bus/monarail to the Contemporary- ressies at the Concorse Steakhouse. After that a little shopping in the gift shop there. Back to CBR- night, night.
SUN 12/11-Quick bite, off to MGM- yellow ponchos on, rain, rain, rain! Super time....Met Chicken Little and Abby after a short movie on how the illustrators work. Lots of great hands for the kids, and adults can have fun as well! Went over to join Bear and friends..so cute! Backlot was fun- DS 6 to scared- its a noise thing, DD needed a diaper change, my great DH bowed out with the 2 of them, DS 9 and I jumped on. Got off, pouring rain, ran over to the Stunt Show ( feels like we ran miles!) - great show( got a little wet, not real seats left under the roof). We had ressies over at Sci-Fi. After lunch, met up w/ Mike and Sully for photo's. Little shopping, back to the hotel. Bus/monarail ( the kids and DH sat up front) back to the Contemporay for CM. Photo, and seated right away. One of DS's favorite places! GREAT waiter-Daniel, which I will be writting a letter to the big wigs to let them know! After dinner off for a little late night shopping at Downtown Disney. Closed the stores at 11.
MON 12/12

DH got the boarding passes down at the desk . Nice! Checked our luggage in. Easy! Off to Animal Kingdow we go. First stop Tough being a bug. Old favorite! Made our way to the safari- walked right on. Watched the tree lady, played the drums, went to the Dinosaur ride- wow..loud and scary ( just DS 9 and myself rode). Then over the the twerly dino roller coaster, and dino's that go up and down- sorry- can't remember the real names. Caught Tarzan Rocks. Back to CBR to get on the DME- say good-bye. Got to MCO in plenty of time- good thing, sercerity was crazy! The flight left on time, Boston here we come!
