So in my quest to eat at every WDW eatery, I am considering a dinner at Fulton's. Has anyone eaten here recently? Can you weigh in on how good (or bad) this place is, both for food and service? Does one treat this as a "night out dinner" (i.e. bluezoo) or a "let's get something to eat place" (red lobster). Thanks for any input!

Fulton's is a "night out dinner", definitely NOT a Red Lobster. It is one of our favorite Disney restaurants and holds special meaning for us (it is the first Disney restaurant I ever ate at with DH--and we had our special 25th anniversary dinner there this past September. We only go every other year now because it is NOT on the dining plan and it is expensive (lunch is cheaper). Here is a link to my review and also a review from MickeyNicki who I got hooked on it:

We went to Fultons last august. DH LOVED it. He had food nooky the whole time we were there!!! He was Ohhing and Ahhhing the whole time we ate. It was our "night out with out the kids" restaurant. Its definately worth it.

Just got back from Fulton's about an hour ago. We enjoyed it but I'm not sure it was worth the $$$$$. The food and service was good but our meal for the three of us was $145 plus tip. We got no appetizers, liquor, or desserts. Just entrees and sodas with the meal.

We went last May and it is a very nice place. We did have our almost two year old and it was fine, but not a place I would take him again. The food and service was great, but it is very expensive. We won't go back since it is not on the DP.
We did not order our son a meal and the waitress still brought us ice cream for him. I did not realize it was so nice when we booked it or I might not have chosen it. I thought it was a crab house, crab house, casual.
But very good!

My husband, son, and I have eaten at Fulton's twice - once in '06 and once in '07. The food was awesome and the service was incredible. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for there. My son was 5 the first visit and 6 at the second visit and the restaurant was fine for him. We did not feel out of place having him there. There were lots of kids there...it is Disney of course! GO!

We like to go there on our first day, usually before checking in...the menu at lunchtime is similar to what they have at dinner (though weighted toward sandwiches and soups) and there's hardly anyone there. Great, fresh seafood!

Did the entrees come with a potato or veggie? Last time I was there everything was extra!

1) Come with potato or veggie
. . . combination meals
. . . singature & "favorites" meals
2) Other meals are ala carte, with sides extra
. . . Baked Potato $4.95
. . . Chefs Vegetable $4.95
. . . Grilled Asparagus $6.95
. . . Sautéed Button Mushrooms $4.95
. . . Yukon Gold Whipped Potatoes $4.95

Like KatMark said, she has my wonderful hubby head over heels in love with Fultons! We ate there in Oct and January and the food and service both times was out of this world. Yes it is costly but so worth it to us....we do save 10% with the AP's. Cannot wait to get my shellfish on this Oct..and the Mai Tai's with Pop Rocks and 151 Floaters are to die for!

Thanks for the input! The food does look yummy, but the plating is not overly fancy. Kind of steakhouse bare bones plating instead of what one might expect from an upscale restaurant. Does that sound accurate, or is that maybe just a function of what was ordered and in those pictures? The clam chowder looks great!!!!!!!
