Fulton's for lunch reviews

When I went to Disney for the first time in 1984, we ate on the Empress Lilly. It was a character meal.

I am now going back to WDW with my mom. It is her first time since that trip.

Should we make a reservation at Fulton's for old times sake?

Or just take a cute pic from the outside while we are touring Downtown Disney.

How is lunch? We will have two little girls with us and we will not be on the dining plan.

It's a bit pricey but we really like Fulton's Crab House. We had lunch there a few months back. Very good lunch.

Oh we ate at the Empress Lilly - it was our first ever character meal!

Just ate there in December for lunch, not on DDP. We all enjoyed our meals and got a variety of items. It wasn't crowded at all and we sat facing the water. We really enjoyed it and will return. Is it a must do? No but if it brings some special memories why not.

NOTE: The interior doesn't look the same in decor.

The one and only time I at at Fulton's was lunch in 2011. We walked in with no reservation around 11:45 and were the only people in there. It was somewhere I really wanted to try and left underwhelmed.

The posted menu outside that had tons of stuff I wanted to try was not the menu they handed us. When questioned they said the one outside was just an example. Bait and switch. We could have left but decided to order. They start with complimentary crackers with a spread. I remember my crab cake was bland and dry. It is not some place I would go to again considering the price.

We've eaten their a couple times and as PP said "underwhelmed" is the appropriate word. I dont mean underwhelmed for the theme or staff. I mean underwhelmed for the food. You can do better at that gosh awful chain known as Red Lobster.
