We will be in WDW in Jan. and are thinking about having lunch at Fulton's for our non-park day. We love fried shrimp and see that they are about the only place at WDW that has it. Has anyone had it and would you recommend it? I have seen some bad reviews on Fulton's and certainly don't want to waste our time and money. Thanks!

We love Fulton's!!! Have not ordered the fried shrimp but have eaten there for lunch and dinner. Excellent choice!!! Ask for a window seat at check in:cool:

Sorry...forgot to tell you what we have eaten, King Crab, Snow Crab, Crab Cakes, Catch of the Day....all VERY good!

DM had the fried rock shrimp in May for Dinner. The dinner portion is huge and was very good. She had plenty to share. Their slaw was very good too.

We always get crab at Fultons, not the shrimp, but we won't miss it whenever we visit WDW.

We're in the same "boat" with Fulton's. I've made PS but am worried about all the negative reviews. We're big crab lovers - so big that even Red Lobster satisfies our taste for it. It sounds like we won't be disappointed. Any other opinions?? Which crab would you recommend?

I love their crab cakes. DS had the garlic Crab fingers 2 yrs ago and they were very good but weren't on the menu this yr when we were there

Sha-lyn - how would you compare Fulton's to a place like Red Lobster?

I don't think you will confuse the "rock shrimp" at Fulton's with honest to goodness fried jumbo fantail shrimp. Same with the crabcake--not even remotely like the real thing--Maryland style Jumbo lump/backfin.

Thanks everyone for the replies! We used to live in Punta Gorda many years ago, and our favorite place to eat was a locally owned seafood place that would serve fresh FL shrimp. It was wonderful, and we were hoping for the same at Fulton's.

We ate there about 4-5 years ago and have not returned. I had the crab sampler and was extremely unimpressed. Service was okay -- atmosphere okay. It is on the more expensive side -- and for that money I've had better food at the Coral Reef. I have not eaten yet at Flying Fish ...

Huh? So crab cakes have to be Maryland style to be "real".

Fulton's is much better than the chain restaurants around here. My sister who is rather "picky" (which can be a good thing LOL) said her salmon was the best she has ever had. The only place that comes to my mind that I would say had better seafood is a little place we use to eat at in Miss. that is now gone (thats to the casinos)

We were not impressed by Fultons, not one bit.

Found it dirty, poor service and pricey for the quality of seafood offered.

I recommend the Flying Fish at BW for your non-park day.

Doe's Flying fish have fried shrimp? I don't see it on their menu. I don't even think they are open for lunch are they?

The quality of the food at Fultons is really disappointing, and you don't have to be a seafood expert to realize this.

Sha-Lyn:
Yep. If you ever have (or had) a real Md. Crabcake, you will always be disappointed with anything else.
Md. "style" has the special seasonings, but it's the jumbo lump backfin crabmeat that is the "rea" thing.
Sadly, with how expensive that crabmeat is even around the Chesapeake Bay, I doubt WDW could ever offer a Md. Crabcake. Too expensive, by the time they had to import the crabmeat.l

We tried Fulton's this trip and I really liked it. I am a big seafood lover too. I live on the Norh Shore of MA right now and went to college in Maryland. Crab cakes and steamed crabs and shrimp are realllllly good there:) Back to Fulton's though...The service was very good. My husband asked for baked scalops-they were not on the menu but the chef whipped some up for him and they were SO good. I asked if I could mix the King crab and Alaska snow crab and they said sure, no problem. We would go back. Our bill was $73 and that was with 20% tip and a portebello mushroom appetizer, two iced teas and a side of corn.

We tried it once and will never go back. When you pay $30.00 for lobster it should at least be hot and the waiter spilled the drawn butter all over the plate. Sorry, but this place is just not our cup of tea. They do, however, serve a fabulos Bloody Mary with a huge shrimp as a garnish.

I'm another who would never go back to Fulton's. Was there for dinner June 02 on a Saturday night. We ate early (about 5pm) with kids (4 and 7yrs). Without going into details, service was extremely poor, food was very medeocure (I love seafood - spent a lot of time in Atlantic Canada) and very poor value for money!
At those prices the quality of food, service and atmosphere should be excellent (ie. Jiko - which was great!)

We LOVE Fulton's. It is always our first night dinner. I have had the Australian Lobster Tail and the King Crab Legs (I can't remember what my family had) and it was excellent, and we are very picky. I live on the east coast and eat seafood quite often (and know what's good & what's not) and my father grew up on the water and he loves Fulton's. Honestly, I think the negative experiences people have had are just a matter of chance because we have been there several times and the food quality and service has been consistant.
