I wondered if anyone would like to share their opinions/reviews on Fulton's. Especially if you have dined there in the last year. It has received very mixed reviews in the guidebooks and I just wanted to see what the DISer's had to say about it. :) Thanks for any info.

My family eats there at least once on every trip. Our last meal there was the last week of Dec. 2007. We always find the food to be delicious, but sometimes the atmosphere and service can be lacking. When they are especially busy, it is easy to feel neglected by your server. As for myself, I know that I would not want to be in their position when there are so many tables of screaming children and demanding guests, so I am content to wait patiently. Now as for the atmosphere, it seems that they try to keep the restaurant looking elegant and quiet for a peaceful meal. But of course, WDW guests are hardly ever quiet; large parties are particularly a problem. During our meal there in Dec. there was a 15 person group seated directly in the middle of the room in which we were dining, and they were all shouting at each other across the tables, making the room extremely noisy.

I personally would not object to skipping this restaurant on a trip or two. It is a pleasant location with delicious food, but you would do better to go during a less busy timeframe. I hope this was helpful in some way.

My DH & his father ate there last May & were not too thrilled with the crabs there. But then, we live in Maryland & I think DH was comparing them to our Maryland crabs here (we've got the best!!).

We used to LOVE Fulton's. Unfortunately, to us, it just isn't the same anymore. I think their quality of food has gone down hill, but the prices keep on climbing. I love seafood, and do not mind paying a hefty price for it...but it should be worth it. Fulton's just doesn't seem the same. The last time we went was in 2006, so maybe it has gone back to its former self, but I doubt it. At least not from what I have heard from a few people. Anyway, if I start hearing better things about it, then I would certainly give it another try. We miss the old Fulton's!

We had dinner there once, about two years ago.
The food was good, not exceptional.

I didn't complain, but I wouldn't return.
The food was not worth the price. $185 for 2 adults and one child...:rolleyes1

Thanks for the review tink774 and daisyduck123. :) I appreciate your thoughts about it and your taking the time to answer.

What you are saying about the quality going down hill over the years is pretty much what I read in the guidebooks. It's a shame that it had to go downhill. Thanks for the info :)

 That's pretty expensive! We are most likely going to be on the dining plan and I assume they take it. But if I don't get any better reviews for it I think we will skip it.

We just ate there on Valentines Day. It was great just as always. I had the Alaskan King Crab Claws. They were fantastic. My friend had the crab cakes. They were good. I thaught the clam chowder was great as well as the crab dip and crackers they give you on the table. We stop here each trip and really enjoy it.

If you dont mind going to the Dolphin Hotel, Blue Zoo was fantastic. I like Fultons, but Blue Zoo was way better and more quiet.
The chilean sea bass was great and the crab cakes had hardly any filler. The deserts were super fansy and good too. We had the strawberry tart my way....Really Good. Best place we've ever eaten on Dis property.

Although we haven't been there in over two years I agree with the posters who have said that Fulton's has good but not great food. I also think that the prices were a little steep. We go to Maine frequently and are used to their terrific seafood.
My fondest memories of that restaurant are when it was The Empress Lilly and we went there for a character breakfast with our DS. (Of course, I'm now dating myself!)

Besides ordinary food and high prices, Fultons has the worst service of any "signature" restaurant at WDW.
Skip it!! If you want good seafood, try Blue Zoo or Flying Fish.

We ate there in May '07 during the week of Memorial Day. We had lunch around 1pm and it was not very busy at all. Food was good and service was excellent. We were on the Premium plan last year and it was part of the dining plan. We are going there again this May for lunch and it is on the Platinum plan we are going on this time. It is not included in the regular or deluxe dining plan this year, I believe. But is on the Premium and Platinum plans.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to give me their opinions. I really appreciate getting reviews before I decide on a place we have never dined at before :)

Fulton's used to be a family tradition when I was younger and we always loved it. Unfortunately last June during our family trip a whole bunch of us went there for lunch. The service was not good, the food sub par and the bill high. Oh and one of the kitchen staff was being arrested as we ate lunch:confused3 True that is not typical but still not appealing:rotfl:
