We are thinking of trying Fulton Crab House our 1st night in Orlando. We'll be at DTD that evening and decided to try something different this trip. We are not on the dining plan, so since paying OOP are hoping we are making a good choice. Anyone dine there recently - thoughts?
Thanks!

I have never been Going to try it in Aug. My bro & his family really liked it so were going on there word.

We absolutely love it! We go every time! We are on the DDP, but in March, we are still going to go! We like spending an evening at DTD, and Fulton's is our favorite place in all of Disney to eat. Great Fresh Seafood!

Yes. We dined in a party of five at the Fulton Crab house and found it really nice. However whilst Sue and I (35+) enjoyed the menu it was not so easy to find food the kids would like (10 years and less). However, there was a kids menu.

For adults I think the food is very good and portions are generous. If possible, try and get a view of the lake. It's very nice.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fultons is my fav WDW place, it is amazing! We ate there in Oct and just 2 weeks ago and the food is incredible (thanks KatMark for pointing me to it)! Click on my Oct and Jan links to see a ton of pics

As with almost any restaurant...there is usually at least one person that wasn't impressed. I guess for this one that's me.

My mom and I ate there during our trip last April. It was the first time I had eaten there but not the first time for mom. That's one reason we chose it since mom remembered it as a good place to eat. Now don't get me wrong, it was good. But I didn't think it was FANTASTIC. And at the price I think it should have been FANTASTIC. The service was good...but not exceptional.

Essentially, I've had better meals at other Disney restaurants for less. We probably won't go back to Fulton's. If you DO end up going, be sure to try the Crab and Lobster bisque. That's the only part of the meal I remember being more than just "good".

We were there about 2 weeks ago. It was by far the most disappointing dinner of our trip. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, either. The service was extremely slow, and we had to ask our waiter (or assistant waiter) two and three times for some things... (including a glass of milk for our thirsty 3.5 year old!) We all thought it wasn't worth the money.

Wonder of wonders, we had a far better meal at the Coral Reef. Which we weren't expecting at all. We thought we were going to Fulton's for the food and Coral Reef for the fish tank. As it turned out, the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all better at the Coral Reef. Seriously.

We LOVE LOVE FULTON'S. It is the first restaurant at Disney my DH ever took me to and we've been numerous times. We went this past September for our special 25th anniversary dinner (even though we were on the dining plan we paid out of pocket). We had a great meal, superb service, etc. Here is a link to my review from September along with pictures:

Fulton's is my favorite restaurant at WDW. It is at the top of DH's and DS's (5 years old) list too. We go there at least every couple of months.

The food is great, but it is pricey.

I am confused as to why someone would say it was hard to find food for those 10 and younger as they have some of the usual kid's fare such as hotdogs. DS always gets the child's filet and it is always wonderful.

I agree! They had more options than any other TS place in WDW....my older niece inhaled the mac and cheese, she loved it!

Thanks everyone for the great response. This is perfect - DS7 has gluten intollerance, so he usually goes for the fresh fish or steak. I am so happy to see lots of options for him on the menu. I am getting hungry just thinking about that shrimp and lobster dish (loved the pictures!)
Thanks again!

My family and I went there for dinner last August and we thought it was a really good meal, so I would say you made a nice choice going there.

1) Fulton's is becoming a good place to eat.
2) A little more to go, but making good progress.
3) Pricey, but the service is good and the wait staff friendly.

NOTE: Since they were bought out by Levy's (the same folks who own Portobello), the food and service have improved markedly.

When were they bought out by Levy's? I have a preferred dining card from Levy to collect reward points and have been using it there for years. This buyout wasn't recent....
