I will be traveling with a baby for the first time. We are going over Thanksgiving and he will be 10 months old at the time. I want to rent a full size crib because even though he isn't that big yet, he doesn't sleep well in a pack n play. I was just wondering if there is enough room in the master bedroom of a 2 bedroom for a full size crib? Any suggestions? Thanks!

It may depend on what resort you are talking about- different resorts have different sizes of rooms.

Any 1 bedroom should be able to fit a crib. You may need to move a chair but it should be no problem.
DVCers can request a crib to use for free but they are nothing fancy and I don't think that they will guarantee availability, but just thought I would mention this option.

We just stayed in a 1BR lockoff. And there would be room for a crib between the king bed and the sliding glass door to the balcony. I think there was about 4 feet between the two. There's a nightstand a chair that would be easy to move to the living room (just be careful not to bang anything as those rooms have taken a beating already). Also the desk with the internet connection is on the opposite wall from the chair and nightstand. You may not be able to use the sliding door to balcony, but can enter the balcony from the living room. Here's a couple of photos that shows you the space.

We have gotten one at OKW and BCV, but that was 3 years ago. I was told that you can not request in advance. You can only request one once you get in your room as they are very limited. I've not heard if BLT has them, but will find out as we will be there in less than 2 weeks will try to request one while there.

We had a crib with our AKV this September. Much to our surprise the crib was alot smaller then expected. It will be perfect for a 10 month old for sure. We were going to use the pack n play for our son(1) and the crib for our daughter (2). Unfortunately both of my children are VERY tall for their age. When the crib arrived we looked at it and knew there was NO way our daughter would fit. We did lay her down in it to see and she literally was the length of the inside of the crib. So... we just had her sleep in the king with us and put our son in the crib instead. Yes we would have put her on the pull out, but we were in a grand villa and were nervous about her waking up and having all that room to get lost lol.

Anyway... I had put the crib request in when I made our reservation 10 months in advance. Definitely put the request in since they are limited in what they have. Also they do provide a sheet, but I brought my own. Again since this crib is smaller then the normal crib size expect your sheet to probably be a little bigger. When I arrived at our room the crib was not there, but I called for it and they brought it right up.

As for room we had plenty between the bed and slider. We had a 1bdrm 2 days before checking in to the GV and we would have had no problems fitting one in that master either. I think you should be fine :).

I guess I should have been more specific! We are staying at the BLT, in a 2 bedroom. Thanks!

Plenty of room in either bedroom at BLT for a fullsize crib. The resort will provide them on a first come, first serve basis, just add a request to your reservation now (if you have not done so already).

Definitely request the crib and have it put on your reservation in advance of your arrival. This way it is part of your reservation, irrefutably. Although it has been some time since I rented a crib (my DDs are 11 and 8 now) I don't ever remember being told that I couldn't get one. Also, you may want to pack your own fitted crib sheet. The first time we had a crib in the room, the bottom sheet was a flat sheet that they folded under the mattress.

Yes you can fit a full sized crib on a 1/2 BR DVC room. We have done it on several trips. If you want a guaranteed fullsize crib definitely rent from an off-site place like abbf.com. We have used them several times and have had no problems. The "full size" cribs at Disney are generally referred to as a hospital size crib or a size similar to what you might see at a daycare, they are not "full" sized like you have at home.

There Will be plenty of room, we did exactly this but stayed in a regular hotel room..

Thank you all for your help. I decided to rent a crib from Orlando Crib Rentals because we are going over Thanksgiving and I don't want to chance not getting one. I am glad to hear I shouldn't have any problem fitting it in the bedroom as I didn't want to put it in the common room. Thank you again!
