Hi-

We are staying at the GF (outer building, two queen room) next month. My large 3.5 yo sleeps in a crib at home and I'd rather go that route at the GF, as opposed to putting him on the pull out couch. We are a family of 5.

I have included on our reservation a request for a full-size crib. I know that these are not guaranteed. However, I was wondering if anyone has stayed recently and had trouble getting one. Also, are they actually full size, like the ones used at home? I've seen posts stating that they are more of a mini-crib size.

I might rent one from an outside agency, but would rather not deal with that if Disney provides them.

Thanks for any info.

Disney if they have them will supply a folding crib which in the end is the same size as a pack and play. I know there are places you can rent cribs from I however have never done so, so I have no info.

First off, I have read that Disney was phasing out cribs. If the do have any at GFthey would be first Come first served on checkin day - not at reservation request. They are not full size wodden cribs, but rather a intermediate sized, folding, white metal crib.
If you need a full sized crib you need to rent one from an offsite vendor.
One vendor that gets good reviews here is " A Baby's Best Friend". Www.abbf.com

The cribs they have at WDW resorts not as big as the full size you have at home. It was fine for my son at 12 months old, no way he would have fit in there comfortably at 3.5yo. I'd rent from an offsite agency or let him sleep in a bed.

My son has slept on the daybed in Disney deluxe resort rooms since he was 2yo and does fine, I just put down the pillows on the floor just in case.

ya the Disney "cribs" are not that big we had on in Nov when we stayed last. for my 22 month

its not like a playpen then anything but it work at the time. now my son sleeps in a bed so next time we dnt have to worry about him fitting into one

We were in Disney last week and my sister needed an actual crib for my niece, since she would never sleep in a pack n play. She rented from A Baby's Best Friend and it was a great experience. We stayed at BC and there was plenty of room for the crib. It is a nice full size wooden crib that takes seconds to set up and folds out and came with a great mattress. She ordered just the crib and matress and brought her own sheets and bumpers. We stayed 7 nights and it cost $63. She sent them a text when her room was ready, and they delivered it right to us. The crib was in great shape and very clean! I would recommend them if you end up looking to rent. There was no way my niece was sleeping in a pack n play all week, so this was a great option. When we were leaving to go back home, she just had to send them a text with the time (we had a morning flight) and all we had to do was fold it up and leave it outside the door in the hallway. Very easy.

In 2015, we stayed at the CR and we requested a crib and got a full sized crib. It was great.
This year, we stayed at the GF and requested a crib and got a pack n play. They said they no longer had cribs.
The pack n play worked out fine but I just wouldn't count on a crib.
