Full size crib at Contemporary?

we are checking in Saturday May 6, probably around 2pm. I was told a request for a full size crib can be made at 10 days out from check in but that they aren't guaranteed. Has anyone had an issue getting one? Should I have a backup plan? Really don't want to use a pack n play for our 11 month old.

We stayed at Contemporary last May and actually had a pack n play request, but received a mini crib is how I'd put it. Bigger and sturdier than a pack n play, but smaller than a regular crib. Our son was 2.5 and it worked for us, although he was able to crawl out of it in the mornings, but he slept in it just fine. I have a picture somewhere. If I can find it I will post.

I never knew I could request a crib! Always just used the pack and play but may have to ask about a crib!

When my niece was 11 months old, my sister rented a full size crib from A Baby's Best Friend (I think it was them). They set it up for her, and it came with bedding. That may be something to look into, to assure you have one.

My son is going to be 18 months when we go. I've rented a crib from Kingdom Strollers. I didn't want to chance not getting one from the resort. I don't know how many they have or how many will be in use when we go. The $80 or so was worth peace of mind to me.

They have a limited number of cribs on property so they are correct that it can not be guaranteed. If you NEED a crib, then you should rent one from an off property company.

Love these cribs because they roll nicely. My twins have always been high maintenance, and could not be trusted on balconies if only one adult was there. When they were 18 months old I wheeled two of these onto our balcony at BCV and I was able to sit back and relax and enjoy the view (we lucked out with a corner room with a very large balcony that trip). The sides of the crib were high enough that they couldn't climb out (which at that age they could climb out of their cribs at home).
At AKV both cribs could fit in the master bathroom for nap time. It was great!
