Is anyone else having problems getting a reservation for a full-service restaurant in mid June. I tried three dates for Sci-Fi, and 50's Prime Time and was offered 9:30pm on 6-17 for Sci-fi. Tried 2 restaurants at Epcot, one is not taking reservations and the other is booked. Nine trips to WDW and never had this happen. Any ideas?

I know we're going that last week in June and I was able to get everything that I wanted at the times that I wanted except for 2 restaurants. One of those happened to be Sci Fi (the CM said this restaurant was extremely popular this year and very hard to get into) :confused3 The only time she had opened was 1:20pm and since it's DH MUST DO, I booked it. I wanted it a little later, but took what was available.

The other one that I had to change the time for was Chef Mickey's. I wanted 7pm and got 8:10.

Other than that I got everything else I wanted which was....
Crystal Palace
Cape May Cafe
Coral Reef
Whispering Canyon Cafe

I too had problems, I had to settle for other restaurants, I want chef mickey no luck and fantasmic pack. again no luck, but there is new restaurant open in Animal Kingdom, that I got Res for, it is African with touch of India, it is called Sanaa, being new you might be able to get res. there. God luck some one on line said call 45 day before the date you want and see if some one canceled res., give it a shot. So sorry abotu your luck I was on hodl for 1 1/2 hours only to be disappointed.:confused3

People can start to book reservations up to 90 days in advance if they are staying onsite, so you are a bit "late". Here are a few things to try:

1. Be flexible in the times and meals. Instead of trying to book dinner, book lunch. Be willing to eat a bit later or earlier if its a place you really want.

2. Much closer to your trip cancellations are more likely to occur. So book what you can now and keep trying for what you want.

I had a hard time booking Coral Reef for our last trip. Kept trying and finally got a lunch ressie. We love having the break (didn't realize exactly how much we'd love it) and our meal was fantastic, ate everything they put in front of us.

Saana is the new restaurant at Kidani Village, the new DVC resort at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it is not in the AK
To the OP, as a PP said, you are a bit late to be looking for June, I would try calling back at the 45 day mark when package reservations may be cancelled. I would also keep trying past that date, as openings do occur

We had problems for 6/6-6/24. We called on our 90 days to get most of our ADR's. But now trying to add them is a no go. We decided to make Priority seating at Spoodles, and Big River Grille.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep calling back. We just booked our vacation last week,(NOFQ) (was not sure I would get one this year)and when I called for reservations I told them I would take anything that was open. I guess it is just going to be a very busy June.

June has Star Wars weekends and can be very busy. How many people are in your party?

Expand your options? Ask the Cast Member on the phone what IS available for your dates/times? Consider Boardwalk/BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin restaurants?

I booked for 6/21 to 6/27 about a week later, and I was able to get CM for dinner (but at 9) and CP for breakfast at 8:30. Then I called yesterday and was able to get a great dinner slot for Chefs de France and Sanaa. Perhaps try the less popular restaurants for "normal" dining times, and then be very flexible with your times for the very popular places.

I called exactly on 90 days and got most of what I wanted for the end of June except for the ever popular Le Cellier (could get 8:20pm but that was too late for the kiddies) and Mama Melrose + F!

The CM told me to call periodically up to our trip but especially while at the parks within the 48 hour window for the package since they take a credit card number for those. I had a back up choice that I took in Epcot and called back on 90 days from when I wanted the F! package and got H&V instead of Mama's. Keep trying, esp at the 45 day and again while there - I think lots of people change plans around based on how their day is going - you may just get lucky.

. . . there is new restaurant open in Animal Kingdom, that I got Res for, it is African with touch of India, it is called Sanaa, being new you might be able to get res. there . . .

1) This is at AKL, not in AK.
2) You must leave the park to dine there.

I am going from 6/16 thru 6/23. I could not get ressies for LeCellier for Dinner was lucky to get it for lunch on 6/20. I also could not get Momma Melrose F! package either. I got all the others I requested but I called exactly on my 90th day and early in the morning too.

Try Kona Cafe too! Great dinner and it is not as well known as some of the other table service meals. So you might be able to get in to that one as well.

Good luck and keep on trying. Something will open up.

I have a feeling it is going to be very crowded in June. Oh well we'll still have fun after all it is Disney and I'll be off from work! :rotfl2:

I just called tonight to book dining reservations from June 2nd-9th and got most everything we wanted within an hour of our requested time (Crystal Palace, Boma, Coral Reef, 50s Prime Time, Whispering Canyon, Le Cellier, Gr. Floridian, & Planet Hollywood). The one place we DID NOT get that we really wanted was Chef Mickey's for the character b-fast, lunch or dinner. They are booked every single day! I'm going to keep calling to see if anything opens up.

I did have to flip one park day with another to get Coral Reef, but I guess that won't be such a big deal.

Keep calling back and good luck!

I called on our 90 day date and could only get Chef Mickey's for our last day of our trip. Not a bad way to end a Disney vacation. We usually like to go there on the first day but no chance. I also had a hard time getting a dinner at 50's Prime Time. We had to take 4pm!

Of our ADRs, we couldn't get LeCellier, Boma or the Mama Melrose. Will be there June 19-27... I guess I will keep trying....
