Full board vs. Half board?

I am doing some reserach on hotels and many times I have found two prices, one for full board the other for half board. Does anyone know what this means?

I would assume that it has something to do with the meals included in your stay. As in "room and board" meaning lodging and meals.

Some of your meals are included in the cost of the package as follows.

Half Board = Breakfast and Dinner

Full Board = Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
