Full-Board meal plans

So what does everyone think of the Full Board meal plans. Do we think they are worth it? Has anyone used them and thought they are good value for money?

I've used the half-board vouchers before but I'm undecided on full-board, here are the details of the full-board plans if your unfamiliar with them.

Full-Board Standard
From 29th March - 7th Nov 2012: £32.60 per Adult / £14.20 per Child
From 8th Nov 2012 - 27th March 2013: £32 per Adult / £14 per Child

The 1st type of voucher (recommended for lunch) includes a menu (main course, side order for adults only, dessert) + one soft drink or water, redeemable in the following counter service restaurants within the Parks : Au Chalet de la Marionnette, Pizzeria Bella Notte, Toad Hall Restaurant, Fuente del Oro Restaurante, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost, Restaurant Hakuna Matata, Café Hypérion, Restaurant en Coulisse.

The 2nd type of voucher (recommended for dinner) includes an all-you-can-eat buffet or a set menu (starter for adult only, main course, dessert) + one soft drink, redeemable in the following table-service and all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants without any additional charge on the set menu and where you can save up to 10% (and excluding McDonald's®, Planet Hollywood®, Rainforest Café®, King Ludwig Castle®, Starbucks®, Earl of Sandwich® and restaurants in recommended and specially handpicked hotels), La Cantina (Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe®), Chuck Wagon Café (Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne®), Crockett's Tavern (Disney Davy Crockett Ranch®), Silver Spur Steakhouse (Frontierland), Plaza Gardens Restaurant (Main Street U.S.A), Agrabah Café Restaurant (Adventureland), Restaurant des Stars (Walt Disney Studios Park), Annette's Diner (Disney® Village), La Grange (in Billy Bob's Country Western Saloon in Disney® Village).

Full Board Plus
From 29th March - 7th Nov 2012: £48.40 per Adult / £21.20 per Child
From 8th Nov 2012 - 27th March 2013: £47 per Adult / £21 per Child

The 1st type of voucher (recommended for lunch) includes an all-you-can-eat buffet + one soft drink.

The 2nd type of voucher (recommended for dinner) includes an all-you-can-eat buffet or a set menu (starter for adult only, main course, dessert) + one soft drink.

These vouchers are redeemable in a wide choice of restaurants of the resort (table service, buffet or counter service) according to the Meal Plan and option chosen.


The Full-Board Plus option is valid in the following table-service and all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants in Disneyland® Paris (and excluding McDonald's®,

From 8th Nov 2012 - 27th March 2013: £65 per Adult / £28 per Child

I'm personally not the biggest fan of the meal plans but that's mainly because I'm a shareholder and get 15% off.. I don't find that they are the best way to get the most out of your money. You really need to eat in the very expensive restaurants each night to make it worth your while. The only real advantage is that you have paid for your meals before you go so you don't have to budget for that. Would you consider buying shares and joining the shareholders club to get that benefit? You could save up the money you would have spent on the plan and tuck it away in a savings account until its time to go?

I was considering geting the Full Board Standard vouchers for my next trip and use them at their Euro face value. I'm already a shareholder so get the 15% discount on table service resturants.

I was just thinking having a voucher for lunch would be handy as you don't get a discount on counter service resturants. But I'm not sure what the face value of the lunch vouchers are in Euros.

I had the misfortune (because it took forever and I only wanted to claim my free drink!!) of being behind a lady in En Coulisse last week who had the full-board plan and she wasn't able to use the lunch voucher at face value, she had to choose one of the set meals. She wasn't very happy about this but the cashier called a supervisor out who backed her up.

I understand where you're coming from re the discount because apart from our last two trips we always used to have APs so benefited from counter service discount as well as shareholders for table service but I'd rather pay full price for counter service any day than go anywhere near meal vouchers again!

Did you get to see how much they were worth did you?

I'm thinking of having two trips to DLP next year so might get AP's. My DW always likes the idea of having the vouchers as our meals are already paid for before we arrive and we normaly go Half Board Plus.

Just trying to work out if these lunch vouchers are worth it as we would be using these just for a quick fast food lunch and uses the others towards cash payments.
