FULL 7DMT ride - no cuts at all

It looks pretty sweet. It looks really colorful and sparkly. I just wish the cars had a little more of movement once the train is full. Overall it looks great.

Excellent video. Thanks for posting! While it certainly doesn't look like a thrill ride by any measure, it looks like a fun family ride for the Fantasyland area, pays nice tribute to Disney's first great feature length film, and (I think this is important) will be a "people eater" for that section of the park, which is long overdue.

Thanks for sharing. I've been enjoying the media previews posted on Facebook of the queue today. Love the interactive elements!

Well it did take a loooooong time to complete but I think it looks like they accomplished what they set out to do. Create a nice combination dark ride/family coaster. The combination of the projections for the facial expressions with animatronics is top notch. Wish they would have spent that much attention to detail when they did Little Mermaid.

Did Disney ever advertise this as a thrill ride? I don't remember it being described that way so not sure why there would be dissent that it looks lame. Of course the coaster portion is lame. It is supposed to be a coaster for most family members so it needed to be pretty mild. This almost 50 yr old will still enjoy it just as much as RnRC.

Definitely on the list for June but will not wait more than 15 min, so FP+ or rope drop. And then at night when the parks start clearing out.

Looks cute but thought the groaning dwarves were a little weird. Hopefully that's something they'll work out!

Looks fun! A great addition to the park!!

I'm sure there will be some whiners chime in soon.

Couldn't pass along THIS challenge!

It's GREAT Disney finally tried something new. The sad news? It's not at all new.

Get on a long-long flight and visit Tokyo Disneyland; a truly unique Disney product. Here they refurbish old rides and build new ones, constantly clean and maintain their parks.

What is new and cutting edge with these adorable seven dwarfs is pretty much standard throughout Tokyo Disney.

Out there $$$$$ is spent to keep their entire operation cutting edge, not just one ride.

Want to see? (Yea, I have suggested this before. WAY too good an example)

Go to YouTube and watch Tokyo Disney Dreamlight Parade. Now compare that to our poor, run down, sad, Main Street Electrical Parade. Never thought it was until I saw what THIS parade looks like.

Sigh. Imagine an entire park kept at the cutting edge like Tokyo Disneyland. We would have to give our Disney Kool Aiders oxygen!!!

The shadows? I don't typically count the lift hill, but that is just me. Once I clear the last Dwarf I've done. It would be like counting the lift hill on Everest or BTMR as part of the dark ride portion.

And yes, the ride starts immediately downhill and out to the first lift hill.

I will add that I think it looks pretty sweet. It's not my cup of tea but it fits the bill it was designed for.:thumbsup2

Now we can all discuss Avatarland for the next 3 - 4 years. :lmao:

I agree that the ride definitely delivered on what it set's out to do. I enjoy all type of rides enough that it's on my "must do" on my next trip.

On the lift hill or dark ride portion, My take is:

BTMRR. First Lift Hill = Dark Ride Portion, Second Lift Hill= Just a lift Hill,
EE First Lift Hill= Just a Lift Hill, Second Lift Hill = Themed Lift Hill
7DMR First Lift Hill = Just a Lift Hill ; Second Lift Hill = part of Dark Ride Section.

You do know that Disney Tokyo is not owned by Disney.

:offtopic:

This thread is not about an individual opinion of Tokyo, Disneyland.

Yes! Sounded to me like one of the 7 Dwarves had a bad night of Tequila.

Remember all the angst and hand-wringing over the closure of the Snow White ride? Anyone want to trade in this new ride for that old ride with a stiff witch jumping out at you with an apple 6 times in 45 seconds?

Looks great!! :thumbsup2 The aerial footage really lends perspective to the whole re-imagining of Fantasyland.

My kids will LOVE this ride and I think its geared for them (11 and 7).

Disney theming has no comparison and I can see why it took so long.

I can't wait to enjoy this ride and see the happiness in my kids eyes.

141 days to go!

In Tokyo, the Disney Co.'s share of the new investment will be $0, as Tokyo Disney is wholly owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company [OLC], which pays license fees and royalties to Disney.

Here now and we have the SDMT fully operational, with VI P'S only allowed to ride. Disappointing for us peasants from Texas.

Yea, tough to justify, isn't it. A company smaller than Disney can maintain a Disney park better than Disney AND pay Disney licensing fees on top of it all!

I still say, the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train now has proven Disney CAN build a great ride. Just saying, wouldn't it be nice if they could do as well as the smaller company using the Disney name. Imagine Splash Mountain with all their currently dead characters replaced with this technology as a beginning .... Then Haunted Mansion, Small World....ok, that's getting exciting!

Hopefully, they have opened a can of worms.....and expectations with this new ride!

Looks awesome. Love love love it.

The grunting is weird though. I hope it's not really like that in person.

Nope, we get to discuss the FP+/lines/stampedes for 7DMT first ;)
