Fuel Prices Where We Live

Diesel at my Sam's Club- $2.89. That is remarkable for Illinois. I'm going to run the coach down and fill the tank. It still has between 1/3 and 1/2 tank, but that's still 60 gallons I can put in. Planning a weekend trip to Iowa on the 9th. I suspect fuel prices will go up to celebrate the July 4th holiday.

Diesel is still 2.95-3.09 locally, I can get 2.80 at the TA in Ashland, VA. Pretty stable here, regular gas is about the same. I feel bad for those people that need to run premium (93 octane) as the spread is 60-80c a gallon higher than regular these days. Long gone are the days of paying just a 20c a gallon higher price for premium.

DS and I both have to run at least 92 octane. Unleaded is $3.01. Premium (93) is only $3.31. 30 cents is reasonable. A while back it was 50-60 cents higher.

Oh you are lucky indeed. Local prices here Regular 2.959 at pretty much every station in a 10 mile radius. Premium however is 3.659 to 3.759 at the same radius, one Exxon is at 3.99, costco/BJs are showing 3.199 for premium. So as long as you are willing to make the trip there you can save.

Norther Vt regular is 3.09. Spent 150.00 to fill the Motorhome for this trip. NY is usually .10 higher.

N. VA.
The current because we can price locally 87 gas 3.29. Diesel is even wackier spreading from 3.19 to 3.59 a mile apart. My best price on TSD is 3.39.

I been scratching my head as there have been no major supply events to cause this for the US. Production is there and while supply is on the lower trend compared to the 5 year comparison, it is not enough to drive this up.

You are the lucky one...

I just paid $4.11 gal to fill up my jeep, and diesel is $4.95 gal here in SFlorida
I'm also in east coast south Florida... but I paid 3.80 this morning for regular... it's about .15-.20 cheaper if I go west near the Everglades.

I believe that post was from 2008.

However, don't give up yet. We are heading right back at those same prices... >:(
