FTP is coming back baby!!

was told that although the offer isn't out yet, it will be available to ALL Disney visa holders. She wasn't sure about the extra $100, that may be for new holders only. She told me if I didn't get a flyer, to call and I would be taken care of.

Now time to sit and do the math. Was hoping to take a quick jaunt after Columbus Day for my boys to compete in TKD Nationals, but maybe we'll go for the 7 days!
 
That's funny, 01Sweetpea, I also called Bank One this morning, and was told she knew nothing about it, that I'd have to call to apply for ANOTHER Visa and that I could only handle it through the applications department, and not until Sunday.

Then called the applications department, (VERY NICE Nancy) who told me it was not in their system and that it would only be offered to CERTAIN new members who received a special code on their application mailing. She said I could ask the special folks what phone number was given to them and call that number and request an application, or at least a phone number. She called this "the back way."

Anyone out there have one of these special letters can share that specific phone number...PLEASE??!! The thing that kills me is that just the other day, I received an application for a new Bank One Disney Visa and DH threw it in the garbage without looking at it because we are Day 1 members. UGH!
 
Did Visa happen to mention which dates the promotion would be going? We are going 4/18 - 4/27 and are currently using the Kids Free Promotion. My final payment is due 3/5. so for me this is cutting it close.

Thanks to anyone that might know the dates. This promo would be wonderful. I always wanted to stay at a deluxe.

I hope this really does work out for all Disney Visa card holders. I have been a Day 1 member since, well, Day 1! This would be fabulous! I have only used my Disney Visa since I got it and it would only be right for loyal customers like myself to be included in the perks. Otherwise, I'm finding another credit card with better rewards!!::yes::
 

That is so strange. But I guess is no different that calling WDW, it must depend on who you speak to. I'm waiting this one out. I hold our Disney Visa with DH added on, if I have to I'll have him apply, and then cancel one of the cards. I can't see how they could only offer this to "new" applicants. The extra $100, yes, but the FTP, it would cause a HUGE uproar and I can bet cause ALOT of people to cancel their card. The 1% bonus is nice, but I can live without it.

momoftwins... not sure of the dates... think I saw something about May - Oct. But not 100%.
 
I just checked out bankone.com and looked under current offers. Right now it is showing 0 offers under WDW. So maybe they are getting ready to list the new offer this weekend!!

On the offer it just gives an example that a family of 4 can save over $800 at a moderate resort.

It does not state that the discount is only for a moderate resort or for a family of 4.

It states that other significant savings are available at select wdw hotels. Offer available most nights between May 1 and October 31.

twinmomplusone, that clarification is definitely helpful. I am hoping for the deal to include deluxes and we are traveling with my niece and my daughter who just turned three this year so it would be great if the deal worked for one adult and one child. The rest of my family have AP's. Am I correct in thinking that not everyone in the room had to participate in the Fairytale Package last year?
 
I cant really believe Disney wouldn't extend this deal to everyone. Especially since it worked SOOO well last year.
Plus no one made mention of a pin # thats usually invloved with a special "select mailing" offer.
Maybe theyre just trying to save $$ on paper?? Looks like lately they need all the help they can get, huh?
MHO-- this offer will be mainstream within a week.
 
Does anyone know if this package would still be worthwhile if I already hold an annual pass? We're planning on staying at POFQ in October for 6 days with my family of 4 - myself, DH, 3 yo DS, and 1 1/2 yo DS. Knowing that they'll charge me for a pass I already have, was just curious if I'll make out on the deal.

With he FTP package, you save about 43% on PACKAGE of both room and park admission (because you only pay 4/7 nights), so the base price you're saving on is HIGHER than room-only. If your admission is already covered, you'd probably make out better with an AP room - only discount, esp. if it's up to 45% as it often is in October.

I was thinking of purchasing an AP to get the discount, but I think the FTP is cheaper in my case, since I would also have to but my admission w/AP rate.

Does that make sense? I'm bad at math.
 
if they do not include the dates from 4/17 thru 4/30. It is not like it is peak season or anything. Well, we'll just have to wait:rolleyes:
 
Well, I just called a little while ago to make my resie (CR, 14th concg.) CM, Nurun (who was ssooo sweet!) knew nothing abt any upcoming codes. She said to keep checking the Sunday papers. I'll sure look tomorrow (I get the Sun travel section of my NY Times on Sat since I'm a home delivery customer.)

I'm going to be holding my breath till I get something cause even AAA rates were sold out!

I did not call but did go to the Bank One Disney Visa website to see if any new offers were posted. The site is down for scheduled maintenance till 10 am. Maybe they are putting up the new deals now!!!
 
I just went to the Disney Visa site and when I saw the site was down for maintenance, I thought the same thing - maybe they're putting up the new package deals!
 
I just called Disney and the offer is for new customers only for Disney Visa card.:mad: :mad: :mad: I remained very pleasant on the phone because had I had the code the cm would have gladly given me the package. No use upsetting them, they are only the messengers. I think we have to let Bank One know that this is simply unacceptable, and that it is unfair to shut out their loyal card members from such an incredible deal!!:mad:

I understand that their site is down, but when it is back up I will be emailing them to voice my displeasure. Unless of course they have amazingly "seen the error of their ways" and have extended the offer to all their members. We'll see. Does anyone have a number in which you can talk to a person and not a machine?
 
I just have the number on the back of my card (800) 594-8200. You get an option to speak to a customer service rep if you hold on long enough and listen to the options. You also have the choice of speaking to someone in Applications for New Accounts. We need the number actually printed on that offer to new customers. Anyone have THAT? I'm going to also ask on a separate thread.

I just got off the phone with Bank One Disney and I spoke with a customer service supervisor who understood my point of view. She thought that since this offer was so new that maybe it might be extended to others in days to come. Sort of a wait it out kind of thing. I do feel better about voicing my concerns and opinion about currently being locked out of this deal. If this deal is not made accesible to every member, then I'll choose not to be a member anymore. ::yes::

Oh well, got to move on. But I will email and send a letter to customer service as a follow up to my phone call.
