We'll be staying at BCV in April with our 5 month old. I'm a first time mom and don't really know what we should be planning for. We're not planning to go to the parks so we'll just be farting around at the hotel, other hotels, and DTD. Is there anything fun to do with a little one this small? Can you push a stroller on the fantasia mini gold course? We're staying in a 2 bedroom villa with my parents in one room and DH, baby, and me in the other. Any advice will be helpful.
First thing - what do you do with your baby at home? Do those same things at Disney World. So, take a step back and relax.
You can take the stroller and push it around the Crescent Lake area and visit the Swan, the Dolphin, the Yacht Club, the Beach Club, and the Boardwalk. You can make a lunch reservation at any of those places or just grab a pizza at the Boardwalk and sit outside and put down a blanket for the baby to get out of the stroller.
You can also go over to the Transportation and Ticket Center or Magic Kingdom (not entering the park) and take a boat tour around those resorts or use the monorail as you wish. On that tour, you can see the Contemporary, the Polynesian, the Grand Floridian, and then boat over to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. At Fort Wilderness, you can use the stroller to tour around the area or, if more adventurous, rent a golf cart (a bit expensive) and drive around the entire campground.
You could also get to the resorts, like to Pop Century, using Disney transportation (you would have to go to a park first but don't have to enter the park). Once at Pop Century, have a walk around there and then cross the bridge and walk around Art of Animation. Or, go to Riverside and walk along the canal to French Quarter. Or, go to Saratoga Springs and see that and then walk to Downtown Disney. Or, go to All Star Sports and then walk all through there, down to All Star Music and then to All Star Movies.
