Ft. Wilderness Trail Buffet

I think that is the name or close to it... ? for anyone who has been, we are thinking about hitting the lunch buffet on a day we are at MK. How do you get there? Can you use some form of Disney Transportation, or would we need to use our rental cars to get to/fro?

I tried Trails End for the first time last October. We LOVED it. Easy to get to from MK-just take the boat and it's a very short walk. The food was great, the service was great and it was such a nice break from the park. At lunch they don't have ribs but there was plenty of great food. And they had coloring pages and crayons for the kids.

After lunch we went to the petting zoo and saw the horses from Main St. And the kids had pony rides (I think they were $3???). There is also a playground. We had a great time and will do it again!

If you don't take the boat from the Magic Kingdom(which is the easiest),you can drive and park in the main lot then take an internal bus there. The lunch was good not great. I loved the fried chix and one of the three sandwiches they had. They didnt have much for dessert which disappointed me,apple cobbler,fruit and jello I think. It is a nice break in the day to check out the petting zoo and the grounds. Have fun,it is a good deal money wise!!!!

Take the boat.
It's easier to get there by boat than by bus...

If we are going to be at the GF can we also take the boat?

from GF you would need to switch boats
the FW boats are on a different loop

You can take the boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge and Ft Wilderness. Maybe 15 mins tops to FW. Once docked at FW, it is a very short walk to Trails End. We have eaten breakfast and dinner there and enjoyed both meals. Probably the best deal for a meal on property. Enjoy!

I definitely don't think driving is the way to go. In December...we went for the breakfast (which was good) and we drove over - we had to wait for the internal bus - it was like a 20 min deal....the restaurant is all the way at the back close to the docks....definitely boat on over!

We start our MK day with breakfast at the Trails End. They have a great breakfast buffet and the price can't be beat. We get to the MK from our resort, take the boat to FW, eat breakfast, the kids play on the playground for a bit, then take the boat back to the MK and spend the whole day. We skip lunch (eat a snack sometimes) and then I make a PS for a nice sitdown somewhere.

One of these days I'll try the Trails End for lunch or dinner! Sounds great!
