We are considering a trip sometime this fall to camp. Is it tru it is better to pay for a preferred spot with elec, water, sewer even though we don't have a motor home so we are closer to the pool and restrooms plus if in an area with all motorhomes then the bathrooms wouldn't be as crowded since motorhomes are self containe with their own facilities. The other question is would there be a spot to put up a tent since the space would I assume be concrete for the motorhomes. Thanks for any advice.

I would go with 1500 loop it's a partial loop, but close to everything and a smaller loop so less people per comfort station. I have not heard people complain about having to wait in lines at the comfort station.

We were in 1500 a couple of weeks ago, and there was never a line in the comfort stations. :)

I love the 1500 (partial) loop. So close and easy to get to everything. the 900 loop is my next favorite, but i've gotten stuck at the wrong end of 1000 before and you have to share the comfort station with 900 (both are full hook-up). Talk about a bad experience of needing to go pee in the night.
Don't worry about the comfort station. I've had to wait on a shower before, but the pots were always open. And for some reason, you've either got the early birds that get up with the sun or the sleepers that just like to relax and take it as slow as possible.
It's definatly not like the hotels where it seems like every one is up between 8am and 10am.
Think about it, there's 4 toilets in the girls/ and probably about the same in the boys. So that means when you wake up you all can go potty at the same time. When you're in one room, you're stuck waiting for the one pot and you gotta feel sorry for the last one in.

The sand pad also shrinks on you when you move up, because the other sites are for larger RV's so they've shrunk the sand pads for tent sleepers, and you can't set one up outside of your pad.

The 2000 partial loop is the only loop i hate, because it's kinda out there, and I got stuck one time with the boy scouts on the north end, and a second time when they were remodeling on of the comfort station and would start pounding kind of early in the morning. Before all that, I did kind of like it as well.
