Myself, my wife and almost 2 year old daughter will be staying at a Ft. Wilderness cabin sept 13 - 20th. It has been many many years since I have stayed here. Are any loops more desirable than others to stay in (location, mosquitoes, pool etc)? Also are there any playground at the campground, where are they located? We will be renting a golf cart for the week. Any other tips for us? Thanks!

We stayed in a cabin last November and really enjoyed it. We requested a cabin near the pool, and got #2531 which was near the smaller pool. There was no kiddie pool, but the pool itself was quite nice...and it was right near the laundry facilities. There was not a playground near our cabin, but, honestly, we were at the parks so much of the time that we would not have used one. The cabin was toward the front of the resort, which made getting in and out easy (we had a rental van, so didn't use the bus service). I never noticed any mosquitos.

Have a great vacation! You will like the cabins.

There are playgrounds in the camping area, but none in the cabin loops. There is one located near the marina and my DS played on it several times as we were going to and from the boat to the Magic Kingdom.

We put in a request to be near the pool and bus stop and had cabin 2604 which was great. Since you are renting a golf cart, transportation shouldn't be an issue but it can't hurt to request a loop near the pool.

We always ask for the 2500 loop,we like being near the laundry and the pool. All of the loops are nice, we have never had one we did not like. My kids love going to the pool while I do laundry!
They are older so I can go back and forth while keeping an eye on them. Sept should be quiet in FW most children are all back in school. Don't forget the campfire. Chip and dale will give autographs. Your 2 yr old will love FW. The petting zoo and pony rides are always a hit with little ones.

Tigger9: I actually know where W. Warren is!!!

I'm sure you will love the cabins. None of the loops is that far from the quiet pool, and with the golf cart you can easily travel to the Meadows where there is a kiddie pool, and also to the Pioneer Hall area to check out the barn and petting zoo. Trails' End is a great buffet, and lots of us enjoy having a cool drink rocking on those porch rockers.
