Ok the debate is on with my wife and I over wether or not to just use our DVC points and transfer into the cabins or rent out the number of points we would have used and pay cash. So what is the average rate for a cabin at Fort Wilderness in December I am not looking for AAA rates or anything like that just the going rate we don't care about finding discounts for the room because if we pay cash it will be from the money we make off the rental of our DVC points.

Hi,
I got this from allearsnet.com. Cabins run $239 for value, $279 regular, $319 peak and $349 for holiday in 2006.
Hope that helps. :sunny:

Thanks very much now to decide if it is worth renting out the points or using them it is 27 points a night to stay at the cabins.

With the best rate program, Fort Wilderness cabins were coming up at $365 for two nights (I was pricing out December 9-11, 2 nights). So that comes out to $182.50 a night which seemed pretty reasonable.

I called down today and was given a price of 204 a night without a code or anything so I think we may end up renting out our points and paying cash for it.
