Ft Wilderness Cabin Recommendations?

Any recommendations for location requests? 2 Adults, 2 Teens. Will have car.

We stayed in the 2100 loop last year; we liked it because it's one of the smaller loops (about 33 total cabins in the loop whereas some loops have 60-70 cabins). It was about a 20 second walk to a comfort station where I did laundry, and across the street from a bus stop. The 2500 loop is closer to the cabin pool, if that's a priority for you. Will you rent a golf cart? If so, cabin location really won't matter since you can drive the golf cart and park it just about anywhere.

and we stayed in the 2300 loop. Liked it very much. I would highly recommend reserving a golf cart. Fort wilderness is huge, and it is so convenient to have your own transportation within the resort rather than waiting on their bus system. Besides, the bus exhaust stinks! We just hopped on our cart and rode down to the marina in the morning and arrived at the MK within 10 minutes! loved that! We really loved being able to go whereever we wanted within Fort Wilderness whenever we wanted.

Will we need a golf cart if we have a car?

You can't drive your car around Ft. Wilderness as there's nowhere to park your vehicle long-term except at your cabin, campground, or Reception Outpost where you initally check in. There's also 15-minute parking across the street from the Meadows Trading Post store if you want to run in for food items, souvenirs, etc. You can drive and park golf carts just about anywhere; if you leave it at the marina to catch the boat over to MK you just plug it into an outlet and let it charge while you're gone. If you decide to get a golf cart make sure to call the Bike Barn (407-824-2742) and reserve one well ahead of your trip as they go quickly.
