Is it just me, or does it seem like cell phones don't last very long. I just got mine in Oct. 10, and the screen went out. Luckily, it is under warranty until Feb12, but I have to mail it to them, who knows when I will get it back. DH's phone is messing up too, he can upgrade in June, and DD is using a back up phone, because her phone doesn't work well, she can upgrade in April. I am sick of buying all these cell phones. Seems like the first cell I had was the best one, you know the old Nokia ones.

And on top of that, "my" computer is broke. It has a virus, I think its a scam to get me to buy another antivirus software. At least I can use DH's. I Hate technology.

Non-Smartphone have pretty much fallen into the realm of low quality IMO compared to 3 - 4 years ago when smartphones were just starting to become popular.

In regards to your computer, there is ZERO reason to buy an anti-virus software. Most of the software you buy is insanely bloated and are general resource hogs. I personally use MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) and have no issues with viruses or anything. I've installed it on friends and families computers as well, and again, nothing but smooth sailing. MSE is free, it uses minimal PC resources and it updates with the rest of Windows.

I have a dumb phone which I keep dropping, so it's probably my fault. The buttons on one side went missing and the cover to the charger broke off.

Fortunately, I get a new phone next month.

I use AVG, which is free. Although you might want to have a anti-adware software installed like Adaware or Windows Defender. It might be you have some malware which pops up and SAYS you have a virus, and not actually have a virus.

That is what I think is wrong with it. Where can I get Adaware or WD at?

Yes - that's a very good point. I've never had a cell phone fail on me, in the manner that the OP described, but that is probably because I don't let myself fall too far behind with regard to the latest technology. I tend not to buy the very latest, but I do try to buy the second level down, and replace it after three or four years, which is the lifespan that engineers shoot-for when they design most electronics, these days. That's how I avoid being frustrated with quality and reliability issues.

We've come to the unfortunate conclusion that cell phones are disposable, no matter how much $ you spend on them.

Everything changes, and ends.
