Frustrated with Orbitz!

This is 3rd time calling orbitz to add room requests to my Caribbean Beach reservation. I am requesting Aruba or jamaica buildings and they called their disney rep who said not possible to add that request since I have standard view booked. I know these aren't preferred rooms- I have stayed there 4 times!!
I am so frustrated. I called disney and they can't help since through orbitz. No one at orbitz understands what I am trying to explain about room requests. Ugh

If you are only wanting to request those Villages and not specific buildings you can make those 2 requests during Online Check In.

You can get your disney confirmation number from Orbitz and add it to your MDE. From there you can make the requests.

I was able to get mine through Orbitz chat and was easily able to request Jamaica (and got the request!)

Thank you.. I wanted specific buildings in the villages. I called again and got a girl who said the notes said they already tried and they can't do it. I asked her to please call disney herself and ask and she did and came back on and said no problem it was all added to my reservation! Problem solved!!
The online chat rep kept saying he was reading the notes from when I called earlier and it can't be done.
I have the reservation in my MDE and I am going to do online check in and add those two villages but at least I have the specific building requests now added onto the reservation as well.

Requests are never guaranteed even when booking directly with them. Fax a request five days before. It always works for us.

I don't know if it's true, but I read on these boards that they no longer take faxes for room requests. You can do it but they won't take them into consideration. I don't know if that's true or not since I haven't tried it.

From people who have reason to know, only the Port Orleans resorts take faxes anymore and it had been that way for a few years now.

Supposedly if you book by touringplans (I think) they advertise a fax service but I don't know how that can work.

That is what I have read as well, but I am still not sure why they are the only ones who take the faxes seriously.
