Frustrated with online Disney account

Disney technology is incredibly frustrating. I have a trip book for November and lately when I log in, I can not see my balance due and can not modify online. I don't have the option to make payments online. I used to have these options. I've changed our dates once and changed the resort twice. I just modified it January 12. Now it says I have to call to make payments or to change or cancel. I suppose this is fine. But if/when discounts come out for November, they will probably be available to book before the phone lines open. I can always book a new reservation and then cancel the first. I really don't want to call Disney I/T and see if they can fix it. I'm always afraid they'll just make the problem worse.

Anyone have any suggestions or advice? :confused3 :badpc:
 
I know you don’t want to, but to get the ability to modify online back you’ll probably have to contact IT, they should be able to fix it.
 

Did not have the same experience. We just went last month and did all through My Disney Experience on the app. Worked really well.

Sure there was a time or two in the months of planning the site might be down or such, but that is normal for such a big venture.
 
This may have something to do with the amount of changes you have made. This could be a security measure.

Personally, I would cancel the whole thing and start over again.
 
Try the app and not the computer/website. I can't tell you how many times I could see and do things in one and not the other.

If you do need to contact Disney IT, be aware that it could take them a while. Something messed up on my account and it took a week to recover. I also hope I never need to change my password because I don't get any emails from Disney anymore. Even when I request something, it's never sent. I don't know what they did to "fix" things but it isn't 100%.
 
Have you tried a different browser? I had this problem in 2016 and I remember that switching browsers helped. You could also use the chat feature on the website to get info.

The same thing happened to us and they couldn't figure out when it happened but I did. We're doing a 3 wk FLA holiday starting with 4 nights on Dis property. We were going to pick up our rental car at Alamos car care center because the prices were 100's of dollars better than at the airport. We had made numerous changes to our resort reservations and no problem until I added Magical Express in one direction to our res. As a result I lost control of the ability to change anything. Once we changed our car to airport pickup when airport pricing got much better and had Dis remove ME it was like magic :rolleyes: and I regained control of the reservation. I was still on the phone with the agent who then told me it "happens all the time with ME"

I think my issue happened with the latest "update" to the system.
I called and just canceled the reservation. I didn't feel like messing with having disney try to fix the issue. When I entered my reservation number on the automated menu, I got the message that they were having trouble locating that reservation. When I got the phone cm, she had to get guest services to complete the cancellation. I felt like those were signs that the reservation was beyond help. :sick:

I get it ! Our situation was just last week and I couldn't cancel and rebook because AKL Club was sold out for our booking time when I checked. Luckily the removal of ME solved it for us.

Thankfully it was no big deal to let that reservation go. I'm not even sure what we want for the trip yet. I may just wait for discounts and see what they offer for November to rebook. I just don't get why the system is so glitchy.
 
The ability to see the Change Reservation link on your reservation at MDE will come and go daily sometimes. Give it a day, I bet it switches back to being there
 
I stopped making payments on my computer's browser after an incredible hassle getting unauthorized multiple charges corrected back down to just one payment. Since I have been making payments on my phone's browser, so far so good (my phone is too old for the MDE app).
