Frustrated with Disneyland App

Here now and made it through 3 days of a 5 day park hopper without issues. Have been buying maxpass each day, just seems easier to me with the fastpass system out here. And photopass is nice.

Today was the 4th day. Got into park prior to rope drop and got our first FP for RSR at 10, which was our main goal. Then we tried to find breakfast for the kids. None of the menus worked on the app. no big deal, starbucks scones work.

All morning, no menus on the app. We had dinner reservations at 6, and wanted to get Toy Story for after that, so we were tracking all afternoon. Went over and dod splash and big thunder. Went to make my next FP around 1:00, no more FP's available, even though they show available on the rides on the app.

Go to city hall, they couldn't figure it out. Had me uninstall and reinstall. Now I can't even log in.

Anyone else have issues similar? Very frustrating, tomorrow's our last day in the parks, and hoping to get maxpass, but it just spins it's wheels...

I'm not at the park, but I'm using the app to prepare for my trip next year, and I find most of the menus do not work for me, most of the time.

Was just thinking this today - for a multi-billion dollar company their app and website are solely lacking. Sick to death of getting the Stitch ate the page on the desktop, or 'not found,pl try again later' on the app. Was so excited on 60 day mark to reserve meals - the amount of times I got 'credit card declined' errors or just general errors was insane. I'm not there for a few weeks but I will absolutely be taking print outs of dinner reservations (I eventually managed to get) etc with me. Even the fact you cannot email dining reservations but need to call is a major PIA - there is a massive difference from Oz to LA & it is a major
inconvenience #rantOver #gotItOffMyChest

For trip planning, you can look at DLR menus here: Menus. For Priority Seating reservations, the options are using the DLR website or the Disneyland app. We juggle one against the other, if one is acting up. If calling is an option, there is always the Dine Line (714-481-DINE). If you are a guest at one of the on site hotels, the hotel concierge can help with dining reservations (emailing the hotel is an option here for int'l. guests). Otherwise, all I can suggest is that you hang in there and keep trying with both the website and app. Sometimes, I've noticed that when there is an update in the works, the app gets very wonky a day or two beforehand. Maybe this is what's happening here?

When this happens to me, it is due to something in the cache. It will happen on one browser, but not others. Simply clearing my cache usually works.

I'm sorry you are having issues. I'm curious if any of the issue is the credit card being from over seas. I know some overseas credit card block using the card out of country without a phone call.

Only issue I have had with the app is being unable to use the Disney guest wifi. It gets overwhelmed and you have to be in just the right spot. And I forget and wonder why the app is acting up, before I remind myself to turn wifi off and use data.

I noticed the app was having issues with loading the menus earlier this week as well. It was kind of random which menus would load and which would not, but that was the only major glitch I noticed. I was able to make reservations, use mobile ordering and check wait times. It was at times slow (I was using celluar data, not the Disney guest wifi which was kind of glitchy). I often get the feeling that the app and website is glitchy depending on the person (i.e., people often get different errors) and it's hard to pin-point the problem(s).

I have the latest version of the app... and it crashes upon launch about 30% of the time.

I guess I'm lucky that in the 30ish days i've spent in the park in the last 9 months that I have not had any issues. At home I do have occasional issues with the website. But if I close my browser and open a new one it usually resolves itself. Good luck to you!!

It’s been acting up for me all week too. I tried making a dining reservation for October and it crashed so much that I missed the time I was trying to get. Luckily I called and they gave me my desired time when I told them the situation. The CM on the phone said that they know there are issues this week with it. I’m hoping they update it or fix it soon.

In terms of dining, I also noticed that the app has issues when it comes to cancelling an ADR that is within 24-hours. So, if the ADR is at 11:00 am on Tuesday and it's 11:01 am on Monday, the app wouldn't let me cancel the ADR. I could cancel it online (website) or by calling without any penalty or difficulties, but I could not do anything with the app.

Was in park this week as well. Had a few app issues same as mentioned above. It also "stuttered" a lot between views. Sometimes freezing. Had to be on their end. Reinstall did not work.

I had some problems with those multi experience FP... I didn’t get them 2 days in a row :( it was a little frustrating when you already plan what to use them for and then not getting them at all.. :/
But apart from that it worked good ( but I didn’t do any food related stuff...

I have not had any issues all week. Are you relying on park wifi, because if you are, it is very spotty and may be the problem.
