frustrated with disney.com stock

I was just about to post a similar comment! I was looking for the monorail and contemporary resort playsets, and they have completely disappeared! :confused3 I know they were both in-stock last week - maybe because of the major shopping weekend they are out of stock? It just seems odd to me that they would completely remove the product though instead of stating simply out of stock. What do I know though, right?

I'm frustrated too. They've been out of the Tiana dress in 2 of the sizes since a week before Black Friday. And as of yesterday the dress is entirely gone from the site. I might be getting the $20 one at Target, I guess.

Edited: Just checked the site again and Tiana is back in stock - but no size 4 still! And they've removed Belle costumes and have a "sold out" icon next to Snow White. Grr.

I'm really upset about the Monorail set! I wanted to get it for my son for Christmas. I saw TONS in Disney last week, thought that I would just order online when I get home to save having to pack it. Now of course it's not on the site. I do wonder if they removed it because of the sale they just had? Maybe they didn't want to discount it?
 
frustrated too with their princess night shirts. They were priced at $8-9 on cyber monday with free shipping no minimum. However.... when I tried to purchase "we are sorry... you are unable to purchase this item at this time." Grrrrrr - then get the dang items off the site! Then I look yesterday and oddly enough the price showing is $15-16. I didn't even try to buy - just annoyed!

Okay, well, I think if you had kep trying to purchase the princess night shirts Monday, they would have eventually been able to process your order; or you could have called. The most likely reason your order wouldn't work would be an overstressed website. If the reason actually was a stock issue, your order wouldn't have been able to be processed at the full retail price Tuesday, either.

Search for, on the Theme Parks Attractions & Strategies board, the phone number for Disney Merchandising. If you saw it onsite, you can order it from onsite! Within reason, naturally. I can't get the square snow globe I saw five years ago now... ;)
 
I,too, have been very frustrated by Disneystore.com lately. I placed an order late Wednesday night for four of the new Park Starz vinylmations. I had been waiting patiently for them to show up online. Got the confirmation e-mail but no shipping update. Yesterday I received an e-mail that my order had been cancelled due to the unavailability of stock. I have never had an order cancelled before and now the figures are no longer on the website. Looks like ebay will be getting my business since my DD really wants these for Christmas.
On another note, I received a gc code for $10 from the DS online because of a past problem. I ordered a D23 membership tonight for my DD and tried to apply the code to my order. To my surprise it did not work and I got a message that stated the code was "invalid".
I have no idea what is happening at DS online but service has definitely taken a turn for the worse.
 
I had been trying to buy some Disney Chamillia beads using my rewards dollars and they never had anything I wanted in stock when I checked. Finally on Monday they had Cinderella's carriage and the Mickey head spacer listed both for great prices. I haven't received a shipping confirmation from them yet, I sure hope they don't cancel my order because they don't have enough in stock. I'm glad I ordered Tink and Pooh on Reeds website for my DD so that I have back-ups for X-Mas. I was going to keep some beads in the closet for her Easter basket and B-Day because Reeds had great prices and is discontinuing carrying Chamillia but now I might need them for X-Mas.
 
I put an order in on Monday and have not received any shipping info. Their site has been a mess for over a week. Everything I tried to order said it could not be added to my cart and when I went back today a lot of stuff was removed from the site including what I ordered Monday. I'm worried my order is going to be cancelled. Were leaving for Disney in less than a month and I really need to get a Cinderella dress for my DD but they removed it from the site.
 
I spoke too soon yesterday when I mentioned they added the Tiana dress back to the site. You couldn't actually add it to the cart, which seems to be code for out of stock. GRRRRR!
At this point, almost ll princess dresses except size 2/3 are sold out (I checked Snow, Belle, Ariel & Tiana). I can't imagine them not replenishing before the holidays, but it's really annoying they are running a special advertised sale on these with zero stock.

I hear your pain everyone and especially Jiminy - my DH wanted the Park Starz so I ordered 4 on Thursday morning at 3:00AM and low and behold received the cancellation email on Monday. I called to speak with a representative about it and got the usual runaround about how their site oversold and inventory wasn't working over the weekend. Same story different day. The funny thing is that it sat available all weekend to purchase so they must have really oversold that item.

But they do this all the time. I'm tired of their poor customer service and terrible stock and online issues. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.
 
I received my order from them a few weeks ago. A few days after I received it I got a letter in the mail from someone in Ohio. In it was my billing info for my package and a sticky note saying they thought I might need this! I'm just glad it didn't have my CC info on it!:confused3

Although it's been a few months since our visit, you might try calling Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Merchandise Guest Services at 1-877-560-6477 with the description of the luggage you're looking for. I used them to find a Dooney&Bourke 40th Anniversary Messenger Bag that had disappeared from disneystore.com.
