What time do they put the fruit out at Scoops ? What kinds do they usually have ?

Thanks, Pacha

In May they had cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew, apples, grapes and sometimes they had pineapple, kiwi, and strawberries. It was always out by lunch time but I'm not sure how early it was out.

The times will be listed on the Navigator. Basically, it starts at lunch time and extends thru the afternoon. The fruit times were more limited than the ice cream.

The fruit selections varied on different days--the list above is basically what we saw. Every day had watermelon, pineapple, and canteloupe. Some days had mangos, kiwi, strawberries, etc.

I only remember how DELICIOUS the fruit was. It was the freshest fruit I've EVER had! I especially enjoyed the blackberries and raspberries, but think I had those at Topsiders.

There is also lots of fresh fruit at the topsiders buffet. Some is by the dessert bar and some actually in the buffet line.
We always made a couple of plates of fresh fruit at scoops each day and took back to our room and put in the frig for later.
Also the fresh fruit on castaway cay at the BBQ was fantastic!!!

Does anyone look at you strange when you bring a plate of food like this back to your room? I have a toddler and would like to keep healthy snacks around just in case, you know?

We've carried plates of fruit, plates piled with french fries, handfuls of ice cream sundaes (don't ask), and armloads of freshly-ironed clothes back to our room in the last two days aboard the Magic. Have not had one strange look. I HAVE gotten some "wow, what a great idea!" looks! :-)

Howdy,
We carried fruit to our room everyday with no strange looks. We saw many people doing the same and lots of people bringing desserts to their rooms from the buffet. Guess they didn't have room enough to eat then. We have brought back treats and taken them to the movies or shows in the evenings, also we bring a pop or milk from the drink station on deck 9. It didnt make any sense to buy a can a pop at the theater when you can get it for free on deck and take with you. Lots of people do this all the time. The only remarks we have had is "Where did you get the fruit?" We want some!!!
People are always in the elevators with ice creams, headed to the rooms too.
One tip is, if you bring something on a glass plate from the buffet, with regular silverware or glasses, they will not remove it from your room unless you set it outside your door. That is their way of knowing you are done with it. You will see this quite often in the hallways.
They put out snack around the clubs about 11 or 11:30 P.M.. There is usually several items there. There is fruit, and pastries, meat kabobs, raw veggies, mexican foods, and different cheeses and crackers too. Our GS and GD love the cheese for a snack.

I gotta say, I love these boards! Everything I ever wanted to know- I was wondering about the movie theater drinks too :)
Now, to figure out a way to keep my son from grabbing all the dishes when going down a hallway...

take advantage of it for sure!!! I personally go at 2pm and ask for the mango!!! I love it and unless you know to ask for it, noone knows it's there :)!!
