Frozen Room Décor, GONE?!??!!!

Thank you Weedy :) Yes, I've decorated my stateroom before. For us, it was the splendor and that dang olaf pillow (and throw and everything o.o). Have it when you arrive sort of thing.

It's ridiculous that they just up and got rid of this when they still have the parties going on. During the seasonal parties there are always themed room decor for that party.

The throw was nice because it had the dcl logo incorporated into the border. And I agree, it is more about walking into the stateroom and having it all done up, we could still make the magic for the kids but it's not the same.

I understand the dissapointment. My granddaughter adores FROZEN and I planned on ordering this package for her birthday cruise in June. don't know it it would work for you, but I confronted this problem by purchasing my own party supplies:
  • Frozen birthday decorations.
  • banner for the door
  • "Happy Birthday" garland
  • shiny spirals and snowflakes that hang from the ceiling
  • snowflake window clings for the mirrors and veranda doors
  • a FROZEN paper sculpture centerpiece
  • small gift
  • Little Golden books of FROZEN stories
  • a FROZEN poster
  • Magnets to decorate our stateroom door.
  • FROZEN bubble blowing set (for veranda fun)

I'm also brining string, magnet hooks, business card magnets and poster putty. I already did a magnet strength test. Even the Little Golden Books will be magnetized and stuck to the wall.

I didn't get a frozen blanket because she already has two. LOL Instead I added a stuffed Sven. (She loves Sven.)

DD and DGD are wearing swim suits under their boarding clothes. After lunch, when rooms open, DD is taking DGD to the pool while I take our things to the stateroom and decorate Then I'll join them at the pool. When we go to "see if our room is ready" TA-DA! DGD will walk into a FROZEN birthday wonderland.

I'm quite proud of myself.:bday:

“Magic"

Sandra’s seen a leprechaun,
Eddie touched a troll,
Laurie danced with witches once,
Charlie found some goblins gold.
Donald heard a mermaid sing,
Susy spied an elf,
But all the magic I have known
I've had to make myself.”

What happened to the room decoration package with pillow, throw, frame, magnet and such?! [...]

Sorry that you were disappointed. Just want to say that I really admire your passion about planning your vacation. Details like this can make a big difference and I understand how you feel. For our own vacations, I always try to think through how everyone in our party will respond to any predictable problem that might come up during our trip. For example, some people want to go to the Anna and Elsa meet and greet while others want to get to Castaway Cay early, and I've found that being prepared for that can avoid arguments that might get the day off to an unnecessary bad start. I also put a lot of effort into creating little magical moments like the one you had been planning. There has to be room for improvising as well, of course, but a good planning job can make a big difference.

Completely unrelated, and I am not kidding, my own first name is Hans and my only two siblings are named Anna and Else. We couldn't believe it when we first saw the movie. I used to work in the R&D department at Pixar and have sometimes wondered whether my old friends there might be responsible :-).

As I've already discussed, I've decorated cabins myself. The issue is that there was a product and Disney gave no warning that it was going away.
Also, If you're planning on using the poster putty on the walls/doors, you cannot do that. No adhesives :( But magnets should work!

Edit: Oh! Are you using the putty to affix the object to the magnet? That is clever ^_^

Thank you for recognizing what I do. The people I plan for don't quite get it ^^;
In this particular case, it's as much as for me as my travel companion. The theme was perfect for both of us since it's just adults (no kid towel) and he's the olaf fan and I'm the Elsa fan. The decor focused a bit more on Olaf, which made it that much more magical for my companion since it will be his first cruise ever (let alone Disney!).
I've had so many health issues happen, including a surprise gallbladder removal (horrible experience) during the weekend that we had planned/reserved to go to WDW for the F&G festival. The trip was a mental health trip because of all the mental health issues I've had (and Disney helps with that ^_^). So to have this be taken away was just that fourth extra cherry on top and it truly is upsetting.
As I said in my first post, it may not be a big deal to others, but it is to me and I'm sure others had no idea what was going on either so I'm hoping that enough of us will let them know our displeasure and they'll make plans to bring it back.

Hehe that is pretty funny! What does it feel like to be the antagonist? :p

On another side note, I'm pretty dang proud of that accent in my title :goodvibes

They'll probably bring it back, don't you think? Probably just raising the price. It was one of the better value packages, I felt. We got one last year and the throw is really high quality, they could have charged a lot more important. Maybe they're taking it away for a while so people don't get all riled up when the price is raised. Many will have forgotten by then, or didn't know about it in the first place.

That's what I hope :) Even if the price is raised a bit, I truly had my heart on it. No, I won't like the price raise at all but for me, it is better then it not being available at all.
Yeah, I was telling my DBF, we need to reserve this before it goes away, before Disney realizes they're actually giving us a true deal on the cruise :rotfl:
It doesn't make sense to take this away just before peak cruising season, especially when they have the Frozen parties. So I'm trying to make sense of it.

I don't think they've ever given notice that any of the in-room gifts were being removed or changed. They just have what they have, and the selection varies. Nothing is set in concrete with DCL.
As I said above, I'm trying to make sense of it and find information on if it's coming back. I've been made acutely aware of your statement already.

Well I will have to come back on here after my cruise and let you know if we received it, I ordered so long ago, but am afraid they'll have run out. And I'm really hoping they bring it back for all the folks who would have wanted one!

It is quite possible they pulled it to make sure that everyone who has already ordered actually gets theirs and then it could come back. Seems like it was pretty popular so they could be reaching their stock limit so that lead to the pull. A CM is never going to tell you why or if it will come back etc because they don't want to set up a false expectation.

When is your cruise?

I truly hope you're right! Do you think it's like the mickey bar fiasco? I hope it is and not the cheese plate fiasco ::yes::

True! I wanted to order the Dream pillow and ship light set was told no more and was able to order it delivered to my cabin at Guest Services onboard!

This is such a bummer. I got it for my daughter for our cruise this past January not really expecting to receive much in the way of quality items, but I am still pretty impressed with the quality of the throw and pillow. It was such a quality package and worth every dollar. Sorry you aren't able to get it.

Okay, I have an official response from Disney Cruise Line:

Your thoughts?

That's what I thought as well. Having a copy/paste response always makes me feel better.

What response would have made you feel better? What else can they say? It's not available right now for whatever reason. Do you expect them to suddenly make it available again because you want it?
