frozen pineapple bars

We discovered a great new treat @ WDW during our trip 2 weeks ago.

we found the frozen pineapple bars sold at various drink/treat carts in Epcot, HS & AK- never could find them in MK though..

They are fantastic and i prefer them to the venerable dole whip.
it's like eating fresh cut pineapple, seriously- very good.

Are these a new treat? My girlfriend and I have been to WDW six times and I have never come across these before. Pineapple is my favorite fruit. I love Dole Whip but couldn't help but release an audible gasp when I read your post.

we've tried to find them locally since we returned. according to the nestle website this item was introduced this spring. there are several flavors listed on the site but i only remember seeing the pineapple one in the parks.

I am a pineapple fan myself, and do plan on getting a dole whip sometime during my trip, but this sounds mighty tasty as well. What was the name of it, do you remember? Was this a frozen fruit bar type treat?

We've had them in the past in WDW and had them at home. They came in a box mixed with strawberry and I think raspberry too. I had thought they were made by dole. But this was YEARS ago.

Does WDW not sell big hunks of pineapple like they do at DLR? We love getting our baggies of pineapple (and at other times baggies of pickles, and DH likes the mango and lime box) there...not at WDW? Drat!

I've been meaning to try those bars the last three trips but still haven't had one. They look yummy.

I'm still upset they did away with the Donald Duck OJ Bars, those were absolutely amazing & I wish they would come back. I could usually only find them throughout AK though but they were always a welcome change.

I get them whenever we are stopping for a Mickey Bar and they are available at the cart. They are so refreshingly good, especially on a hot day. I would compare them to the Dole Fruit Bars that you can buy at your local grocery store (the one's that come in strawberry), they even have bits of real pineapple in it too.

I love the Edy's coconut bars. I'll have to look for the pineapple the next time I'm at the store.

I've never seen that, though i think AK offers fresh tropical fruit. We found the frozen bars last summer on a sweltering day in Epcot, on a day like that I prefer the frozen treat over a fresh one.
