Frozen Merchandise at the World

Admittedly, I don't have children myself, so I had no idea how insane the Frozen merchandise was getting. I knew the dresses were hard to come by, but after working at the Disney Store for a few years, that made sense.. but the rest of the merchandise.. I was clueless.

I've just returned from 5 days in the parks, and this is my story.. LOL

I got to the World on Monday, got to MK around 1:30 and headed straight for any Frozen merch... I've got a niece turning 5 this month, and Frozen is, of course, the theme... Didn't realize just how hard it was to come by, even at the parks.. so my first few stops yielded nothing but Olaf tees, books and rice krispie treats... Sir Mickey's was my next stop. When I got there they had some Anna Animator's Collection dolls as well as Anna crowns. I texted her mom a pic of the dolls and went to get a drink.. her response came back as "GET IT!! GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!" (that's no exaggeration) I went back at about 2:30 and half the dolls that were there were now gone, so I grabbed one, a crown and book and headed to the register. There were probably 7 other people in line, all clutching a doll. I had it sent back to the hotel and went down for the parade at 3. When we got back to Sir Mickey's at 3:35, just before our A&E FP, the dolls were completely sold out!!

When I went to pick up my package the next day, they looked at the receipt and got this look ---> As in.. OMG! You found a Frozen doll!!! You know things are bad when CMs are surprised you've found anything!!

I was just in shock that even the parks aren't able to keep things in stock. I mean, I had heard even that the merchandise hotline wasn't shipping things out, but I didn't realize it wasn't because THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING!! Talking to a CM at Sir Mickey's.. apparently these were the first dolls they had received in several days there... I'm just stunned.. and lucky.. and I'll be the best Auntie in the entire world!!!!

I'm shocked, that you found a doll. We've been here eight days"..nothing but treats, books, t-shirts and Olaf pins.

Great find! :thumbsup2

yeah, as the days wore on, and I saw nothing else and talked to other CMs, I realized how lucky I was!!

However, if you've got more time there, and are looking for something, make sure you're asking CMs.. make it fun, let them know you know it's an unrealistic question. I found several CMs who said that when things like that happen, if they ever happen to get a return of something that's sought after (it's rare but it happens) sometimes they will hold it behind the counter, waiting for someone to ask if they happen to have any left. It's a long shot, but if you're desperate!!

Saturday we were at MK when someone posted on DIS that sir Mickey had Elsa dresses. Apparently the holy grail!! I have teenagers but was on the lookout for my three year old niece.

Got there and they did have Anna and Elsa dresses but only in size xxs. I grabbed one of each and started texting my brother and sister in law. They both agree this was too small but ....

While I was waiting a CM walked out with an arm load of ELSA animators collection dolls. Grabbed one. Apparently sir mickeys had a shipment of 2000 or so that flew off the shelves a couple days earlier. One box was misplaced and just showed up. How lucky!!!

My six year old son would love a Sven stuffed animal...has anyone seen these in the parks? We are checking in June 1st and are hoping to find one! Am hoping it's not Elsa and Anna, maybe we have a shot :)

No way. I asked about an Olaf stuffy and was told that several weeks ago they got 1000 in at the store in Norway in Epcot and they sold out in 3 hours

Arg!!! I really didn't want to be hanging out at the Disney store at opening to try. (I've heard they've started shipping more merch to be sold on Sat.mornings only). Not sure that Sven is worth being trampled!

I have boys and they want a Sven and Olaf doll as well. At Epcot last week a CM said she's never even seen them before, so I'm guessing they're gone really quickly.

At Sir Mickey's yesterday there were no dolls at all, but they were stocked with dresses!

That's crazy! We just got back from Disneyland in California and there was a TON of the animator dolls (both Ana and Elsa), Plush Sven's and normal Ana dolls everywhere.

It was sad. Parents would come in asking where the Elsa dresses were, then Ana, next dolls, plush, etc. They received the same answer each time...nothing, nada.

Oh gosh! We'll be there next week for my DD's 4th bday, she's more into Cinderella and Tiana, but I was hoping to get SOMETHING Elsa for my niece, specifically one of the 12" dolls or something simple since they do not exist in South Texas. My niece's gma was lucky enough to find an Elsa dress in San Antonio right before her birthday, but we live a bit further south and every store everywhere has their shelves wiped out(except for Anna dolls).

It's like that Arnold Schawzenegger smash hit JINGLE ALL THE WAY, where he's trying to get the Turboman doll and all they have is his faithful sidekick Booster. Elsa is Turboman and Anna is Booster(no one wants Anna for some reason). :rotfl2:

Is the only place to find Elsa stuff in MK or could they possibly have some merch in DTD or HS?

I was there in early April and found a lot of Frozen merch including Anna and Elsa Barbie-sized dolls at the big store in Animal Kingdom (can't remember its name). The CMs there were shocked when I told them this was the only place in DW that had anything. I don't think people think to look there, so although I know a lot can change in a month, definitely check it out if you are there.

I've been to MK pretty much every weekend for months now. Most recently, the Emporium in MK had the Elsa 'Barbie' dolls, just before Easter. I got my DD one, but I didn't snap a picture of the wall of them at the time. We just grabbed one and got out of the shop. They also had Anna dolls at the time.

Since Anna and Elsa moved to MK, Sir Mickey's (the shop the meet and greet exits into) is the priority shop for receiving Frozen merchandise first. (It used to be the store in Norway, but no longer is.)

The first weekend A & E were in Fairytale Hall, in the morning, they had the plush, 'topsy turvy' Anna and Elsa dolls (about 20" plush doll that one side is Elsa and the other is Coronation Anna) They had about 5 (no joke) the CM announced "this is all I have" and they sold right then. I saw several kids around the park with them that day.

The following Saturday, they had a wall of Anna 'Barbie' dolls. They were all gone the next morning.

The following Saturday morning, they had both the Anna and Elsa toddler 'animator' dolls. They were selling REALLY fast, but they had WALLS of them, and they were actively restocking them as well. But all the Elsa sold out first, then Anna the next day.

And last weekend, they had Anna coronation dresses in size XXS

I have personally seen Elsa dresses restocked only a couple times (in the Emporium, before A & E moved into PFTH.) I have not seen ANY Frozen items in Castle Couture since November.

Sir Mickey's consistently has books and t-shirts and the rice crispy treats, and the matted pictures. They've had Anna coronoation crowns and they had Elsa light up snowflake wands a few times. Emporium also has the t-shirts and such.

I have not seen Sven or Olaf restocked since November when they had all of their products right before the movie came out.

It's important to note that in the Emporium, the Frozen dolls are NOT restocked near the other dolls. They have their own section dedicated for Frozen in the girls costume section. Anything they have that is Frozen, gets restocked there. And in Sir Mickey's the Frozen section is in the back of the store near Princess Minnie (where you come out of Fairytale Hall after meeting A & E.)

mickeymom52, are you talking about the Island Mercantile store?

I looked at a map, and it was definitely as you enter Discovery Island from the main park entrance. Island Mercantile seems to be the obvious choice since that is their "toy store," but I actually think it was Disney Outfitters based on map location. Quite frankly, we were so excited to find Frozen dolls, we grabbed them and paid without paying too much attention to what else was in the store. I'd say poke your head in both stores and ask a CM.

I'll also mention the store right outside of the Ariel show in HS (across from Disney Jr) had a bunch of stuff, too. In early April, they had Olaf dolls, lots of little Anna and Elsa Polly Pocket-sized dolls and their coach, and I think I remember Anna costumes there, too.it was a busy week, and I was surprised how few people were shopping there (same for the AK store).
