Hi! We're going to DCA for the first time this week and we are really looking forward on watching the new Frozen Live at the Hyperion show. However, upon researching lines usually get really long and fastpasses for the show usually go out within an hour or so after rope drop. As we rarely visit DCA (and Disneyland) I wanna make sure that we have a sure shot at seeing the show when we go and we are targetting to be on the orchestra section. I plan on getting the cheapest out of the three pre-show packages. Here's the sitch though- I plan on reserving one for myself first prior to our visit and just purchase another one at the park if ever my sister pushes through and joins me. Would you be able to purchase them on the check in table though? I saw a photo on twitter that was on the check in table that said to ask about frozen pre show package availability. Does this mean we could purchase them on the spot if they still have slots available?

ALSO, if all else fails, can you guys tell me how the fast pass on this show works? Tips to get them would also be highly appreciated. Thanks!!

If there are spaces available for the pre show on the day/time you have a booking, you could get a second one.

I've heard mixed reviews as to the event. The pre show takes about 90 minutes when you calculate the event and then moving to the theater. It's unlikely to save you any time. I have heard of people coming to the fast pass line 40 minutes early and getting good seats.

How the free fast pass works:

Line up to get your fast pass in the morning. Do this first thing in the morning will mean long lines. The passes seem to be lasting until midday most days so what until the line is less. You will be able to see time of show and location of fast pass.

Once you have your fast pass, enjoy the parks until it is time to return. Go to the fast pass return line and wait. You will eventually be let in the theatre. Select your seat, watch the show.

Hope this helps.

Does it seem like the FP craziness has lessened a bit since it first debuted? I made a reservation for the pre show event, mostly just to secure getting a good seat (and some AC). But if it's now possible to get a good seat without spending the additional $50, I'd be all for it!
