FROZEN in Carbonite! Updating for Halloween at Sea World and Disney

Oh yes! We have several love oaks in our yard. And flowers of most plants are blooming too. The poor kid has only had a couple weeks of healthy in between all the sinus gunk since early March.

He has a rehearsal today and two showcases very soon. He needs his voice back!

I'm not quite packed yet. Got all our clothing in half of a suitcase. Ended up packing extra clothes because of the thunderstorms in the forecast. I have visions of our wet January stay and walking around in soggy clothes. At least this time we'll be warm!

I have toiletries and medication left to pack.

I spent more time searching for socks and underwear. So many have disappeared since Easter week. Maybe they went home with my in-laws? Or maybe the "sock monster" in our dryer has been working extra hard and increased his diet, lol!

I also forgot to pack swimwear. Though ds is still coughing and blowing his nose. I added claritin back and he sounds much better.

His blocking for his next show is this afternoon. We might not get to WDW until tonight. Unless our room is ready early. Then I'll drive back and forth. Dh is taking himself to the expo this morning.

UGH!!! Got the room ready text, but it's NO WHERE close to what I requested. I requested 1st floor and got 4th. Requested one section of rooms and got ones on the opposite side of the resort. I called to see if we could get 1st floor anywhere. DS won't set foot in an elevator after we got stuck in one a few years ago. And there's no way he'd make it up 4 flights of steps. Wish us luck!

Thursday's rain brought in critters. My neighbor sent me a warning to be careful. They are too small for animal control to remove.

Our mini-vacation was so much fun!

I did online check in. We stayed at CSR. I requested 1st floor Cabanas, was sure not to check first available, and we were assigned 4th floor Casitas.

I called the phone number in the text and asked if we could be moved to 1st floor any building? I was told it may take some time. But about a half hour later I got the text for Room 5107, Casitas 1st floor, Building 5. We've stayed in this building 2 other times.

Thursday was dh's registration. Our check in day. He beat us to the resort. It was calling for rain all day, but the rain held off until evening. We were able to get in a quick swim at the Dig Site, dh and ds loved the water slide. We were going to go to Symphony in the Stars, but the rain and seeing fb friends text about hail in their yards, made us change our mind. We ate at the McDonald's by the All Star resorts, then drove to Walgreens for bottled water instead of to DHS. Spent the rest of the evening at the resort.

Dh was at the bus stop by 4am Friday. And taking advantage of the photo ops before the run. During the run, he bumped into some 501st friends and they walked together. They fake ran by the photopass photographers for appearance sake, lol.

In actuality, it was more like this, lol.

If he had known, he would have signed up for the 10K and Half. He over trained. Didn't break a sweat. He had no idea what to expect as he had never done a 5K anywhere.

Next year he is doing all 3. He has no desire to do the other RunDisney events, just the Star Wars one.

After the run, we went to the MK. We rode 7DMT, BTMR, and JC. We ate lunch at the Outpost. Got Chicken nuggets and waffle fries and split and order and got an extra side of waffle fries.

For dinner, we went off site to Rocco's Tacos. My new favorite restaurant. The food was incredible. Service was seriously slow. But that was fine because we were with friends and happy to linger and talk. DS was thrilled because dh bought him a Roxi Challenge coin and a Rancor tooth.

We were so tired from getting up early. We went back to the resort after dinner.

Saturday was check out. Time flies so fast on these mini trips.

Next mini trip is over July 4th weekend! We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary!!

Awesome! So glad he liked it and is going to do all of them next year! I hope to do the Star Wars races someday.

I am so glad that he liked the run and plans on doing more. My DH jumped from planning to do a half marathon to just doing the full marathon. The only run he had done was a 10K while training for the full marathon. He hasn't done a marathon since, because it was just a lot of time to train. He seems to be looking forward to doing the half Wine & Dine in 2017. I will do my first 5K. I'll start training next year
