wdwmagic is reporting that the Frozen Holiday Wish is returning and I am very excited about this! I know not everyone loves the Frozen presence in the parks but I have two very young dd's who will be over the moon excited to see Elsa light up the castle!

Here's my questions- Where's the best place to watch from and what time do I need to secure the spot? Our first day at MK on our trip will be a party day, we will be doing rope drop then staying to see the (hopefully) 6:15 castle lighting, then will fight our way down main street to exit. Main thing I'm looking for when choosing a spot is my little ones being able to see.

We have tickets for another night for the Christmas party but have other things that we want to do during the party, BUT if we miss it for any reason on the first night then we will try to watch during the party. However we have reservations for the dessert party the night of the Christmas party to watch wishes so I'm not even sure we can do both?

1. You want a clear view of the Castle Forecourt Stage. (Stage in front of the castle.)

2. Please, when asking a timing question, post the date. We can be much more helpful.
I'll tell you that on many nights an hour before would not be too early.

3. You can do both. But, the better view of the STAGE (with the characters) will be
closer to the castle than from the Dessert Party location (Tomorrowland Terrace.)

Yay! I LOVE Frozen...everywhere, at all times, LOL! We will be at Frozen Summer Fun 2 weeks from tomorrow! So excited! We also have tickets to the Christmas Party, on 12/18. I saw Frozen Holiday Wish last year, and cannot wait to see it again this year (if the rumor is true!)! :santa:

The date will be November 29th, which will be the Sunday right after Thanksgiving. We have party tickets for the following Thursday December 3rd. Thanks!

I love your maps Robo! For a clear view of the characters, do I want to be on the red concrete right in front of the stage, or in the middle by the partner's statue, or on the grey concrete?

I'm thinking that around 4:30 we'll start heading that way and staking out a spot, then I will probably head somewhere nearby and get some food and bring it back and we will eat while waiting for the show. Does that sound like an okay plan? Or do you think I need to be earlier?

1. Any of those are good spots for adults. The kids' view can be blocked by others if you're too far away.
When you get there early, you can judge for yourself.

2. There MIGHT be a regular "Castle Show" that happens on the stage around that time, too.

Thanks for the kind words about my maps!

I was there last year for the week between Christmas and New Years - They ran a castle show just before the castle lighting (EG about 20 minutes before)

You want to be there EARLY to get a good spot and then expect that you'll be crowded out. I staked out a spot about 30 minutes beforehand to the right and in front of the partners statue. Since your kids will be younger it might be difficult for them to see the stage and the characters (unless you put them on your shoulders) so if you want to see them closely I'd recommend getting closer to the stage (but not too close or else you won't see all the fireworks). The section closest to the stage slopes downwards which should help your kids with viewing somewhat.

Alternatively you might try further back (on the far side of the hub)

(And yeah, good maps Robo - used them a lot when planning out the fireworks/parade trips when I was but a N00b. :) )

I was under the impression that unless you had the "party band" on your list cast members will ask you to leave the park on a MVMCP night. Is that right? Or can yo I stay and view the fireworks?

Remember you'll "probably" have two shots a night to see it again this year.:)

Last year the show happened twice a night, at 6:15 and 7:30 on regular nights and at 6:15 and 8:00 on party nights. (On party nights, the second show is only for MVMCP attendees.)

My understanding is that on party nights they run the castle lighting show twice 6:15 and then again at 7:30. You can see the 6:15 show without a party ticket cause the park doesn't officially close for the day until 7. The fireworks people are referring to are the couple of quick bursts they do during the show, not the full wishes fireworks show, that is separate and is later in the evening and you need a party ticket to see it or watch it on a non-party night.

Thanks for the info. My girls would love to see the castle light up. We aren't able to do the party this time, since we are doing Minnie's at HS. My pockets are only so deep ;) lol.... Disney is sucking me dry.

"LAST" year the show happened at 6:15 and 7:30 on regular nights and at 6:15 and 8:00 on party nights. :)
