Frozen Ever After LIVE reports!

Posted 120 minutes AT ROPE DROP. I checked at 9 am on the dot, before the rope drop crowds could even have gotten there. This is horrible.

ETA: just to clarify...I'm checking the mde app from home.

Sometimes Rope Drop times are not exact. They kind of make a guess, but because they haven't really been able to time the line with the red tags, it is just a guess. You'll see that at Toy Story where the posted wait is already 45 minutes when the very first person walks up to the ride. I'm willing to bet it's not THAT far off for the people in the middle of the pack, it's just that it could vary some.

Hi All,

Sorry if this is the wrong place; I posted this request in another thread but I didn't get a response and I'm a little desperate. I am a journalist for the children's daily newspaper News-O-Matic and we're doing a story on this ride and its opening. I really need a quote about this ride from a child age 7-12 who has ridden. It can be anything, even just one sentence.

If you could help (and I'd greatly appreciate it; a full time job opportunity is riding on this), please inbox me.

Thank you!

Pretty sure every kid who has ridden it had to wait at least 10 years in line, making them too old for your publication. Sorry!

I have an akersus adr before the park opens. I don't have a burning desire to ride this, but I had hoped to do rope drop if I could get through in less than 30 minutes. I could probably be in line before 8:45, but not if it's a 2 hour wait.

Ditto for us. I guess we'll join the power walk to Norway for the princess breakfast, but I have to draw the line at waiting more than 30 minutes for FEA. I've been checking the app wait times and either the ride is down, or there's a 180 minute wait. It's not the end of the world if FEA is not in the stars for us on this trip, there's always next year.

Luggage lockers at every park? We want to bring an 8x2.5 foot thank you banner to all the parks with us but don't want to cart it around- we will have other stuff (14pl)! If the luggage lockers don't hold it does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

So today was my 30 days out (we are staying off site) and I was able to grab a FP for Froway but not until the afternoon (we have 4:40-5:40) ... my concern is if the ride breaks down and is closed for the rest of the day - how does that work with having a FP? I read reports of people getting anytime FP but can you use them on another day for Froway or only for other attractions that day?

We have a 2nd EPCOT day but my plan was to get a FP for Soarin' for that day as hitting up both attractions during the vacation is a goal - but Froway is the #1 priority for the kids

This happened to me last week the day that Frozen opened at Epoct. If the ride is down, you will get an email on your phone from Disney telling you that there is a problem with your ride that you have a fast pass for. They give you two options, either keep the FP on Frozen which will allow you to ride it anytime that night before it closes or use the FP on any other ride at Epcot that evening. We stuck it out and rode Frozen two hours after our FP was for. Later that night, Nemo went down which I had a FP for and they gave us a free FP to use on any ride at any park except for Frozen and the Jungle Book Show for the following two days which we used the next day on Seven Dwarfs in MK. :)

Thanks for the information - and thought on what happens if the ride never re-opens? Can you use it another day?

Any reports the last few days? Has it been running?!

I can confirm it broke near noon on sunday. Seems to be one of those rides you really want to do first, it seems to be functional for the morning most days. I think saturday it went all day without going down.

We rode it on the day after it opened and the ride itself didn't open until 9:25 because of technical difficulties.

I've been checking the app for FEA wait times every morning because we have the PPO breakfast.
At 9:10 this morning it was up and running and the wait time was 10 minutes. On previous mornings either the ride was down, or there was already a very long wait time. Just checked again at 1:50 today, and the wait time was holding at 150 minutes. At least FEA is running and standby is open!!!

Woo hoo! It does appear from afar to be a little more stable this week!

What's the word from those on the streets of Epcot this week?

10 minutes at 9:10 sounds fabulous!

We were only able to book FP+ 30 days out and while I am happy I got one for FAE they only had the afternoon (4pm+) available - and that is my biggest worry that it breaks and they shut it for the rest of the day or even just that the FP line builds up from the various stoppages throughout the day. Hopefully it is in a better state in a month when we get there

When we rode it, the CM (manager, actually) told us the FP line was so long because there were people there redeeming FPs from the prior day as well.

Great to hear! We have a PPO at Akershus next Monday. Fingers crossed we can pull it off!

Right? Almost too good to be true. I was wondering if it was the app acting wonky, or if there was a smaller RD crowd today.
Well, considering the length of time it takes to walk there, plus factoring in PPOs, I'd think that you'd have to be one of the first people through the turnstile to take advantage of that wait time. By 9:20, that 10 minute wait is probably over an hour.
