They are still working on the show, so I would take anything regarding the soft opening with a grain of salt. They indicated that the EBTA will also be getting a soft opening. I honestly didn't see too much of the show as I was dealing with a rude woman behind me who kept shoving me into the stage, and trying to keep my eyes on my children, who were in a roped off area. It was insanely crowded and hard to see, but from what I caught it was very good. At the end they had the fake snow (soap bubbles, same as in Dreams). I think they will implement a lot of changes based on the one we saw, though I don't know what they can do regarding crowds beyond making it the show for the night and doing two performances. That would help, but I'd think it will still be quite packed.

We were able to catch the show, plus two run-throughs, on the WBPC. As stated, although it may be considered a soft-opening the show was pretty good...the weather really did not cooperate fully (gusty winds, 55F) and did detract from some of the special effects (ice mist) and audio quality...the cast did a great job considering that it was a new number and that a good portion of the audience were not fully versed in the ways of Frozen and some of the other songs in the soundtrack and it was a bit evident by the lack of guests singing or dancing along. The cast did their utmost to get the crowd pumped but the weather and lack of familiarity may have impacted this. The music was mix of songs from Frozen (BTW, let it go was pretty good considering the Idina Menzel has a difficult time hitting the high-notes at times) and 80's/90's pop/rock (some of these songs may have been new to the younger guests).

I suspect that DCL add this to the repertoire along with Pirate Night for most of its longer voyages - I am sure that the show will grow on repeat guests. The costumes, props and special effects were all very nice and the show was nicely themed with our dining experience. DCL put a lot of effort into this show and I am sure they will make any adjustments they need to preserve the magical experience we all have come to expect.

Does anyone think that people will "dress up" for this event like they do for Pirate Night? I am wondering if I need to keep my eye open for an Olaf t-shirt or something.

IMO, I think people (some of them) will dress "in theme". As to whether it will be a large participation, such as on Pirate night, I'm not sure. But I doubt that you'll feel out of place either way (if you dress in theme or not).

I am not planning to dress up but I bought some Frozen temporary tattoos. There are quite a lot in one pack and I am planning to share with little kids on the cruise.

I guess I am going to be the negative nelly (and I'm usually a positive, easy going person) but my family wasn't really that impressed. Most of the show consisted of a couple of cast members singing and dancing to songs we didn't know. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen - which did, for the last 2 minutes at the end. Elsa came out to sing Let it Go and then it "snowed", which was really cool. They also gave out glow snowflake necklaces which were really nice. Also, sorry to say, it was my least favorite menu of the cruise.

I just thought they could have done so much more. Where was Olaf? I know they had the costume onboard but he wasn't in the show. But I am sure there are more changes to come and you will be pleasantly surprised.
