Frozen Character Dining?

Interesting they are not, you'd think they would be at Akershus at least.

I wonder what the reasoning is when they are so popular with the current generation of young children.

Because they are not Disney Princesses(tm).

Disney do not cross franchises. The Disney Princess lineup is Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Mulan, Jasmine, Rapunzel and Merida was coronated a few years ago. Neither Elsa nor Anna have been coronated or added to the Disney Princesses.

Disney policy is that Elsa and Anna do not appear with the Disney Princesses(tm).

1) IMHO, changing the Norway ride and a Meet-&-Greet is enough "Frozen".
2) No need for a Frozen meal.
Well, since I have a 21 year old son, I don't really care whether they have a Frozen meal or not, but, I was asking for a friend who has a beautiful little six-year-old daughter. Given that Disney has character meals for Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and on and on, it doesn't seem like much of a stretch to assume that Anna and Elsa might participate in one.

You're missing Snow White, Tiana and Pocahantas from your list.

Honestly, I can see them changing Akershus to Frozen dining, if the m&g is insanely popular and Frozen fever keeps on going after the sequel comes out.

I doubt it. They didn't do it at the height of Frozen, when lines were 4+ hours long, before the girls originally moved to MK. They could have charged literally ANY PRICE.

They didn't.

With the insane wait times to meet these characters, I would think Disney would recognize a money making opportunity. Put them anywhere as part of a character meal, in a hotel, in a park, wherever. Mickey and other characters already appear at multiple locations at the same time, Anna and Elsa could also. I've always thought an opportunity was missed at BOG to have a character breakfast with Belle and the Beast as well.

30 minutes is insane?

Current M&G wait times are very reasonable.

Sorry, I didn't necessarily mean current as much as past history. Perhaps they have remedied this at EPCOT, at Magic Kingdom it was much longer, at least when I was there!

Speaking as a grandparent of a 2 and a half yr old little girl, I wish they had a Frozen character meal, complete with Olaf as well, not just Anna & Elsa. If Disney cannot do that because they don't have cross rights, then how did they create a fake Country in EPCOT based on them???

Of course they have the right to do it. Frozen is a Disney IP. They've simply decided not to do it. Akershus is already booked solid. There's no financial incentive for them to add A&E to the present mix of princesses. You can meet them right next door, and the wait times are minimal compared to even a year ago.

Disney is only going to create a new character meal if they can profit from it, and wouldn't hurt their existing restaurants in the process by taking away their customers.

Disney have the rights. When I say they don't cross the streams, what I mean is that Frozen and Disney Princesses are currently separate copyright IP groupings.

Elsa and Anna are not Disney Princesses(tm).

From an intellectual property perspective right now, mixing Anna/Elsa with the Princesses would be no different than tossing a Storm Trooper into Akershus. Disney own all of them, but they don't blend.
