Frozen Character Dining?

Every time i see this comment about parents doing more for girls and spending more I roll my eyes. I've never been asked one question about character dining and we are at Disney a lot and we spend quite a bit of money by almost anyone's standard. We have a 7 month old daughter and a 7 year old son.

We have repeatedly done every single character meal offered for him. Anytime there is a Star Wars meal we make sure to go. We've even flown down for a long weekend for it. I paid for a room at the nick hotel I never used so we could take a cab there and do both the ninja turtles meal and the power rangers thing. This last trip? We hit universal for the first time. There's a gap there and I think Disney is making a mistake in however it's gathering information.

It's important to note that individual anecdotes on this thread are not data.

Disney works with large amounts of data across large survey groups, and marry it up to profitability analysis. They've done Star Wars breakfasts as part of SWW, and tried breakfasts (without characters) at Sci-Fi; neither has become a regular offering.

There is plenty of stuff for boys who are pushed into "gender norms!" H&V Disney Junior has a bit of both. Chef Mickey and anywhere with the core characters is pretty gender-neutral. (I don't want to hear an explanation of how Garden Grill is for girls, if anyone has one. Please no.)

My son has enjoyed princess meals, and "regular" character meals, and Sci-Fi without characters, and T-REX. So has my daughter.

I wish we didn't have to make things as fundamental as eating into gender battlegrounds.

Princesses aren't just for girls, and Star Wars isn't just for boys.

Sigh.

Entertainment is for people.
My son will be 30 in September. He absolutely hated going to Princess character meals with his sisters. It finally got to the point where when he was 10 he would ask my DH to stay behind and do something different with him while I took the 2 girls. We did the Mickey Family and Pooh family as a family but that was it. CRT was out of the question along with 1900 Park Fare. Back then there was nothing with Princesses in Norway lol...no Star Wars either ;) so what's good for one family isn't always good for another...not everyone enjoys the same entertainment. ..:)

They aren't gender battles, some children just do not like eating with Princesses. ..girls included. Asking for a Frozen Character meal for all to enjoy isn't asking for much considering they still have Lilo & Stitch going strong when that movie hasn't been out for some time. Change up the characters for people once in a while

Question for you mom's whose sons love the Princess meals..how old are they? Like I said, when mine hit 10, he flat out asked my husband to do something different with him. I personally cannot see a preteen boy or teen boy loving a Princess meal??? A girl yeah, one of my DD's never out grew it, while the other did about 13 ish. She still enjoyed Mickey & Pooh though..and Lilo/Stitch, Chip/Dale

Disney works with large amounts of data across large survey groups,

1) Yep.
2) But, Disney does rely HEAVILY upon data and surveys.
. . . whether right or wrong, surveys and data count
. . . there are few (if any) managers that will go against surveys/data
. . . this could/would be a career-ending or career-halting decision
