Hi everyone- so I've been hearing good things about Frontier... What have you heard???

I'm not even going to try it if its as bad as Spirit... Lol I have had bad experiences with spirit and so have lots of ppl I know... So let me know what you have heard, good or bad!

TIA!

They just starte flying out of Trenton nj. Their on our list for next year assuming the schedule works. Our biggest concern is they are the only airline in that airport and only have a few flights a week, so if something happens we're sol. (Yes we will have trip insurance)

I flew with them for the first time earlier in the year to Las Vegas for business seminar. I thought they were fine. Just did not like the plane transfer in Denver.

Thanks for the responses!

My one friend that told me she was happy w the airline did fly out of Trenton- last week. Hopefully you won't have any issues :)

They start flying out of Wilmington Airport (New Castle County) in July. We are booked to travel in August. Fingers crossed!

I have flown on Frontier several times. I had a fine flight with no issues that could have been prevented by the airline. One time we were flying into Denver (had to change planes there) and had to circle and wait while a huge storm system passed through Denver. Another time we were stuck on the runway longer than expected, again due to weather issues. We weren't there for some extended horror period, and they gave everyone free use of the onboard television and a free drink if they were of legal age. It wasn't a high dollar comp, but we were only stuck on the runway about 10 extra minutes.

So all of that is to say, that I've had no problems with the airline. Our flights were on time aside from weather issues, and the staff was polite and professional.

We flew Frontier one time only.....during the very short period of time they were at Lehigh Valley (ABE). They were fine.....flights were on time. I do seem to remember the planes weren't as clean as SWA and Airtran usually are. ....as I said I've only flown them for one trip....from ABE to MCO and then MCO to ABE ......so it's possible it was just a fluke that the plane (s) didn't appear the cleanest to me.

I fly Frontier out of Harrisburg. I flew them last October, 2012. They were fine. I did not have any troubles at all. I am flying with them again for two upcoming trips. One in August and one in December. I booked them on the day the rates were released and got really good rates. In December, round trip for two was $236 total. This was basic fair only. (Does not include checked bags.) I will recommend booking through Frontier's site. Starting in July, if you are not booked through Frontier, carry-on bags have a fee. If booked through Frontier, there is no fee.

Frontier (F9) is a great airline. When we lived in Colorado, we used them all the time out of DEN. The crew was as friendly as WN (Southwest), the in-flight entertainment is a great option (it is on all of their planes), and the animals on the tail are fun.

All in, Frontier is a solid airline.
