Does anyone have any experience with them? My parents have asked me to try to find them non-stop flights to Colorado for my aunt's anniversary party in June. Frontier is the only airline out of Dayton going into Denver. I found them reasonable fares $557 total for 2. My aunt has flown with them before and said the plane wasn't very sturdy and not very big at all. My mom won't go for this, she is scared to death to fly and my dad has never flown before. I checked seatguru and they only have 2 planes listed. Neither are the ones they will be on. It says it is a CRJ-700 CANADAIR REGIONAL JET
Operated by: FRONTIER JETEXPRESS - HORIZON AIR

Anyone have any experience with this airline?

I have flown Frontier to las vegas I loved the airline, didn't have a problem connecting flights in denver , But we were on a bigger jet, I have flown jets that you are talking about ,if its the one with one seat on one side and two on the other.. It was a very smooth ride but it was a delta jet to orlando.

There was an older version of Frontier Airlines, but the new version started operating in 1995 and started flying 737's (the same plane that Southwest and countless others use) and now flies the Airbus A318 and A319, and CRJ700's (Frontier JetExpress). Frontier has one of the newest fleets in the industry. Maybe your aunt remembers the old version of Frontier?

The CRJ700 is a regional jet that seats 70 passengers, with two seats on each side of the aisle. Look for the CRJ700 under American Airlines, both planes are configured basically the same way.

Frontier is a great airline, I've flown with them several times and have always been happy with their customer service and their planes. I'd highly recommend Frontier!

That's a long flight on a smaller plane - don't know much about Horizon tho. Could you drive to Indy (isn't it < 2 hrs?) where you can catch a direct flight to Denver on an Airbus? Little cheaper and probably a lot more comfortable!

I tried to talk my mom into driving to Columbus since it's cheaper, but she wants to go out of Dayton since it's close. They already have to drive from Denver to Colo. Spgs once they arrive. I will explain to my mom it's a smaller plane but is newer. At least she got some nerve pills for the flight. :lmao: :thumbsup2 Thanks!

My mom called and told me to book the flights I had found and add another on for my other aunt. It made the fare $20 more to add one more person. So, I took her off and it dropped it back down. I ended up getting my parents flight for $278 and my aunt's for $298. There was only 2 seats left after I booked my 3. That was close!!!
