from what I have seen, most people put the DISigns on the front of their shirts, but I was thinking about a larger DISign on the back (will not be carrying a backpack that would cover it!) with a small DISign over the left breast area, is there a problem with ironing on both sides? So many good DISigns I can't seem to pick just one! I want to fill my shirts wth as many as possible! Also, don't want to upset any DISigners if I put two DISigns on a shirt that come from different DISigners... princess:

Hi Babybaja2

How spooky i have done a T-shirt like that only a few hours a go for my dads next trip,
I have done a large mickey head on the back and the same disign on the left front side with my dads name next to it
I had no problems with ironing on both sides, and i really dont think that any disigner would mind you mixing and matching disigns

hope that helps:thumbsup2

Be sure to put a board of some kind between the front and back of the shirt when ironing the second side. This will prevent any "oops" with the first side. I have used a small shelf or small wooden ironing board.

thanks for the info, but that reminds me of another question.. everyone talks of ironing "on a hard surface" so does that mean that a regular ironing board is not the best to use? I'm trying to weed out all my mistakes before I make them! :rotfl:

:woohoo: WDW for my honey and me! as soon as he gets home from the dessert! :woohoo:

Yes, that is exactly what that means.

If you use your regular ironing board, the surface is too soft. You want a hard firm surface when ironing on your transfers.

Just got done ironing three designs on the back of shirts... One for me was a circle type design on a medium shirt, no big issue. Circle type design for DH on the back of a 2XL shirt, not too tricky. Square design on the back of a 2XL shirt...NOT AS FORGIVING!!! I think I got it straight and in a good position, but I think it took me as long to get it placed in such a manner that I was happy with it as it did to iron all the other shirts combined :lmao:

does it make a big difference in placement of the DISign and spacing between front vs back of shirts? princess:

I just want to add that if you put a rather large disign on the back of your shirt it can be quite hot. Not sure why except that it doesn't breathe well. We made a really cute disign for my DS's t-ball team to put on our shirts to wear to all of his games and they were VERY HOT and our backs were VERY SWEATY. For some reason it's not as hot to have a large disign on the front. I thought it might have something to do with my chest, but my DH agreed and he doesn't have that to contend with. :rotfl:

I just eyeballed it vertically to what looked correct...I did try to compare to the back of one of DH's shirts, but that design was bigger than what you can print on a letter size sheet. Then tried to make sure it was level and centered horizontally.

thanks, I didn't think about comparing to other t-shirts that we have for the sizing and spacing, now I just need to figure out which DISigns I want to use... there are so many to pick from!!

as far as the heat on the back vs front, I would guess it is from the sun.. I know I never stand facing the sun if I can avoid it, I always turn my back, so it just bakes.. but that does make me think about if I really want to put a DISign there... maybe I could just take all the ones I want and reduce the size and make a collage of them on the front...

wow to much to think about at 11pm... this stuff is really adictive.. it just sneaks up on you and sucks you right in... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

but I did learn how to do my ticker! :thumbsup2
