Front Row at Cirque - Is it bad?

Is the front row at Cirque not a good option?

Front row wouldn't be my first choice. There's a lot going on all over the stage and I think sitting further back gives a better vantage point. There's a lot of aerial stuff that might be a bit of a strain for the ol' neck. Also those BMX bike guys look like they are going to fall into your lap. But that might actually be cool!

Views are good all over the place. I prefer to be back a few rows (but have sat front row and enjoyed it). I have even sat back row and had a good view.

Ideally for me I would like to be no closer than 5-6 rows from the front as there is so much going on in the show, you do miss stuff in row 1.

You do get a different perspective in the front row, but a narrower field of view.

I have just bought tickets to the Cirque touring show OVO and their prime seats are from rows 5-9 (including their VIP tapis rouge seats).

First is not as good as back. You are too close to get the "whole picture" but you will see details nicely.

We sat in the front row and absolutely loved it - could see the facial expressions of the performers so much better.

I would not hesitate to sit there again.
