Hi Everyone! I just confirmed my booking today! My name is Nicole, I'll be 24 at the time of the cruise and I'm sailing with my brother Mike who will be 20 at the time. I was originally thinking I was going to have to "go it alone" and pay the outrageous single supplement charge since I didn't have anyone who'd be able to go with me, but when I found out a few weeks ago that the sail date was January 6, I called my brother right away because I knew he'd want to go and its the perfect time since he's off for winter break from college! If it were any other time later than that I would have had to go alone since he'd be in school for the semester and I had no one else to go with- so that, coupled with the fact that I've wanted to do this kind of cruise my entire life, makes me feel like it is really meant for us to go. I'm finishing up grad school in 2010 and I can't think of a better time for a last "splurge" of a long vacation before I have to start my career and have a measly 2 weeks off a year : (

So I'm so glad to be here, looking forward to as many activities as possible especially the FE but also all the new ones I've never had before (I've only been on two 4-night Wonder cruises so far, going on my first 7 night Magic in January). And yes I'm travelling with my beloved 16 year old stuffed blue hippo, who has travelled around the world so he will be happy that there are other plush animals joining him on this cruise : )

Hi Everyone! I can hardly keep up with all the posts on this thread, several pages seem to be added everyday.

We haven't taken our first DCL cruise yet, but we're very excited about bringing the Wonder to our home State of CA. :woohoo: We have 20 of us on our first Wonder cruise Nov. 15th.

This cruise will be kind of different for us, as it will be just my husband, David and I. We usually travel with family/friends on Disney trips so we won't know what to do with ourselves being all alone. I'm really looking forward to the R and R before my crazy budget season at work that lasts from Feb -June. We're taking this cruise to celebrate our b-days (Jan/Feb) and 31st anniversary (Mar) all on one trip.

Thats really awesome! You got my vote for this!

I had thougth about something like " wondering" through the canal " but like your better LOL

We also got our cabin switched today farther back to 7110. Anyone ever been close to here? I was leary about being so close to the elevators but I like the rear of the ship.Seems to be less movement for me:sick:

I originally had wonder-ing thru the canal but changed it to wonder-ful homecoming.

Ok..I need help! as I said...I am not a graphic person in any way..here is my rough draft...need your opinions on changes etc.

We should plan a "Plush" meet some time during the cruise to get all our little travel companions together. What a great photo op that would be. :rotfl:

This is nothing. I couldn't keep up with the pace of the 2008 EBPC threads. It seemed to move so fast that a new thread had to be started every 2-3 weeks (once the post/page count limit was imposed.) It was crazy.

Hi, my name is Klara and I will be joining you guys. Since I live in California I can't wait to bring the Wonder home. I will be celebrating my birthday while on ship so I can't wait. I also would like to be in the FE. Just did my first one and thought it was a blast.

We have made a booking:cool1:
We are
Chris 46
Joanne 37
Michelle 12
Timothy 8

We have never cruised with Disney before although we have the EB Transatlantic booked for next year.

January is summer school holidays in Australia and the perfect time to cruise.

Since we watched the BBC documentary 7 wonders of the industrial world (panama canal) we have all been keen to see first hand the hard work that went into the design and building. A great documentary if you get the chance to see it.

Welcome to all the new folks!!! So glad there was space and everyone got what they wanted!!! I look forward to chatting with all of you. :cool1:

Hello to all the newbies....Third I was wondering how many late night people we have?

I (Greg) and DW (Sheri) are late nighters, as long as the kids clubs are open (for DD(12) Rebekah, and DD(8)x2 Jojo and Olivia)...

We'll be on west coast time, which will make it (initially) easier.

Well I know the close around 12 or 1. But still once they are in bed you could come out for after hours as well on deck 9.

Hello, how are you doing, not long till you wedding anniversary.

What I did was bring everything in one suitcase and when it was empty...I used it for my souvineers home!
It'll be interesting carrying a suitcase all around the states for 4 weeks before our cruise...wonder what hubby will think about that!

So essentially you give a gift per cabin, not a gift for every person in the cabin?

It's nice to see another family from Australia! We too are Australian. There are 4 families in our group all from Sydney and we have two 8yr olds and a 7 yr old in our group. Where are you from?

I may not be from Australia, but I do have family in Melborne.

You are up very early!!

Melbourne's cool. Lots of great food and shopping! Have your family been there long?

As long as I can remember they have lived there. I went when I was almost 5 in December for almost a month. I remember going to see the Penguins come on the beach at Prince Phlip Island. It is also were I became of not only Star Trek but space and aviation in general. I usaly go to bed between 3:30-5:00 in the morning.

Why's that?

I think I last went to Philip Island when I was a teenager! That was a LONG time ago...

I remember someone mentioning/suggesting that families with young children could meet up before hand but I can't remember who and i can't find the post! I think its a fabulous idea. Will go trawling through the pages again.
