I'm sorry to hear that I usually travel solo and paying for hotel rooms is always a big part of my budget, a cabin just kills for a solo (I'm on WBTA '11 solo) - here's hoping you find another roomie quickly! And like PP I hope nothing serious happened to your cabin mate.

Hello fellow cruisers!!!!!!!

I was just thinking...has anyone heard anything more on whether the Dream might make an appearance in Port Canaveral before our cruise?

Just hoping for a very memorable event to start a very memorable cruise.

Randy. Well here is what I know, of course things may change due to unforseen constuction or other problems that may arise, the Dream willbe at PC on 1/4/11. It is right now going to do a short travel industry Cruise. Now here is were things get interesting. This is to be five night cruise as of right now. Now on the same day we are at CC the Magic is in Nassau and the Dream is to just be sailing. The Magic is to leave Nassau for PC at 2 P.M. Now if you look at a map there is no reason what so ever it needs to leave at 2 to get back to PC on time. I think all there ships will be at CC around 4 in the afternoon for a photo shoot. Only time they will have all their ships together. We will be docked and the other two will just be off shore of the breakwater. This is just my guess. I ran it by my friend at DCL. He has not been told anything, but thinks I nailed this one. We shall see. As to people hoping for warm weather. Remember we are going to be very close to the equater, and it would be summer on the other side of it. Alright talk to everone soon. Have to go dry off from the rain soaking I had at Disneyland today.

I hope so too. If you think about it looks like the stars just may be in place for that. One thing I did forget, someone was asking about back to reality. Well I can tell you that on the Wesbound 08 I was gone for 19 nights. 4 at WDW and 15 on the Magic. I could not wait to sleep in my own bed again after about night 14. Now do not get me wrong, it was a great trip and one of the reasons I can't wait to do it again. Just after time I miss my bed that's all. Same thing happens last year when I was gone the last two weeks of Oct. Had a great two week vacation, but man, was I happy to see my own bed.

Amen to that. I'll have been in Florida for 3 weeks this time when I go home. While I'm looking forward to a nice warm hug from my sweetie, I am NOT looking forward to cold, ice, snow, grey skies, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning, and only having 1/2 a bed (Teddy bear Dimples doesn't take up near as much room)

The worst thing with having so long away in winter is that even if the heating has been left ticking over, and someone puts it up on the day we arrive home, the house always feels cold and unloved!

Funny how your own bed - and pillow in my case, makes all the difference. I will say our last bed on the Magic was good, I have had backaches from previous trips after just a week. Come to think of it, that has not happened ont he last several cruises.
