Question: Since we voted for the logo, is there a way to remove the poll?

I had already researched info on how to remove the poll and everything that I found said it couldn't be taken off. However, as soon as I get time today, I'll ask a Mod for help. Just wanted you to know I did check into it!

Here is my contribution to adding pages but I am sure the Denise will get with a Mod and it will be taken care of for us. Nippy here this morning - a whopping 12 degrees. And, we have a storm waring in effect for tonight through Thursday - gotta love that snow! They are now predicting 8 - 9 inches of snow tonight with more during the day tomorrow. ...and I live here WHY??? We had over 18 feet of snow last year and are off to a good start for this year.

Yes, though I'd only booked the WBTA I had popped onto the EBTA thread as several DISpals were over there.

I knew the WBTA would be a $$ problem because of flights and I really shouldn't be away from work then either. (Political advertising makes things really busy and I didn't want my team-mate left alone to bear the brunt.) So sister-in-law and I switched to this cruise as soon as it was announced.

It was just this past Wed that I called DCL and cancelled the WBTA and get my $600 in deposits refunded. Then Fri morning I get an e-mail from a DIS cruise pal who is a travel agent asking me if I wanted to join in on a Magic Western THIS January, as she could get a deep travel agent discount. My share of a verandah stateroom....$450 and change. AND that included tips. Gee, let me think about that......

So, I'm cruising in 46 days! Rationalized that the cruise was free and there was change from the refund left over to pay half the airfare. No excursions, will explore Key West on our own, might look for a beach in Grand C. or go to the turtle farm on our own. Been to Cozumel and done a dolphin excursion, so will probably just stay on the ship. So, I just save up some $ for BBCs!


So, the 1/23/10 Magic is 'on sale'. Cat 12 for 2 people, no transfers, no insurance is just under $1200 if any of you out there need and emergency vacation!

EDIT: 2 adults is about $1500 and change, it was the solo price that was $1100something.

WEll, I didn't get very happy news from MY TA. If I swap in another person instead of my husband , the price becomes the price for the day the swap is done - today that would be $1500 MORE than we paid for our room originally.

Is he the lead on your reservation? If so your TA can call and have YOU switched to the lead with him listed second. Then later s/he can change his name for another. There should only be a name change if it's after final payment. Be sure your TA is calling DCL and asking the right question. If you have to, call DCL and ask the question hypothetically (as they won't talk to you about your specifica ressie since it's booked under a TA).

Our yard is closer to my picture from last year than to yours. Don't tell Bruce but I am sick of it already and it isn't even the middle of December - I will have to look at that stuff until April!

Is your reservation in your name or Bruce's? If so, maybe you need to swap that out first and then drop Bruce and add your new cabin mate. I swear that was done with David's and my reservation that time we cancelled and our oldest DS ended up in our cabin.

Never mind! I TOTALLY misunderstood what the TA wrote - the increase was if I add a 'third girl'! DUH Which actually drops the price per person since the 3rd girl would cost less than half the original amount.

Glad that it is all worked out! Storming in your area yet? If not - I do believe it is on the way. NASTY here but I made it to the office - just took me a bit longer. I had to go around a semi that was stuck (or slid in a ditch or something as it was dark and I couldn't see too well what his problem was - more worried about me, selfish as that sounds). Now that I am here, I hope I can get home later but, I will worry about that later.
