From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 5

I am interested in the offer of internet - how does it work?? We don't leave until Tuesday PM so I will be checking on here until we leave.

We don't have iphones but use blackberry.

She's basically going to use her cell phone as a wifi hotspot, but it will only work in port, not for the entire cruise.

We're doing good for us, my stuff is laid out in our guest room, but I need to reduce the pile as it's way too much. DH is almost all packed. Normally we are the night before packers so we're ahead of schedule. Tomorrow is haircuts, finish packing, pay bills and finish all the last minute stuff. Oh and make DSIL his birthday cake too.

We leave early Tues.

Safe travels to all who are on the way to MCO and WDW before the cruise. We are still not ready as of today, I just finished getting shirts for the cruise and need two pair of jeans tomorrow before a quick wash and iron on the cloths to avoid having to do it on the ship. Glad to have lost the 76 lbs before the cruise, but having to buy all new cloths for the trip (well supplement the cloths I already bought) was a real pain.

Tomorrow a quick run to JCPenny, then back home to get the luggage out and start packing. Then will clean the house, get the cat litter boxes set up, food/water dishes cleaned and prepared with their food. Gotta charge up the electronics too! Oh my the list is growing! LOL

By this time tomorrow most of the stuff will be done and then off to work on Tuesday. Won't be much time left Tuesday evening to get much done, so tomorrow better go as planned or it's going to be a long day Tuesday. Gotta call for our taxi to the airport too.

We leave early Wednesday morning flying out of ONT to Houston and then MCO....Is it Wednesday yet?

I just had a bathing suit fashion show for DH...
Part I is tonight: The picking (grouping by outfits... day, night, workout)
Part II is tomorrow: The packing

I have my large bag, DH has his; we have one for shoes, room decor and misc.; and one more for our formal outfits, toiletries, outfit for embarkation day (we are spending the night before at WDW and don't want to open up everything)... plus whatever clothes don't fit in the big bags.

Thank goodness we only have to fly one way.

Should we bring extra hangers? I can't remember how many are in the closet.

I'm sitting at the airport waiting to fly to Orlando via Canada! I can't believe the cruise has arrived!! My packing was a last-minute 10pm-3am effort (I would have thought I was a seasoned enough traveller by now to do it quicker than that, but then to be fair I was also cleaning my place up too as I went) so I hope I haven't forgotten anything crucial, but I have the fish extender gifts so I guess that is the important thing ! See ya real soon!

Thanks for all the hard work putting things together for this cruise, (Especiallly Jeff for the website!) and all the fun things that will happen while we're all together.

Good Luck with the packing all who still have that to work on. We are done except for the last minute things (running shoes, phone chargers ect)

Safe travels for all who are now traveling and everyone getting to port Thursday.

Yesterday was a great football day for our house as both the Colts and the Packers won and made the playoffs! (DH Mike, and DD#3 Bethany were in WI for the Packers game)

Last two days of work! Unfortunatly based on my inbox it's going to be a killer couple of days. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the odds and ends I usually forget to pack. I remembered a bottle opener this time (we bought one on our '09 cruise). I'm packed except for the overnight bag for WDW Wednesday night. Jeff hasn't really started his yet. But Jack and I could go now...

Is it Wednesday yet?

closed the suitcase. It's heavy. I don't think I'll be getting by without paying overweight fees. and I have managed to misplace a full container of sunscreen.

Be very careful taking wrapped gifts past airport security. I would say don't wrap any gifts unless they are going in checked luggage.

It is likely to cause even more problems in the checked in luggage. They screen checked luggage in the same way they do handluggage (xray). I know people who had packed wrapped presents in their suitcase and those were removed. At least if they are in the carry on, they can ask you to unwrap them.

I love the Fish Extender

Well, I am about 90% packed. I just need to do my carry on now with my jewellery, pins, Fish Extender, Fish Extender gifts, various chargers, magnets, paper work and Secret Mickey gifts. This should not take to long especially as I have most things ready to pack.

I downloaded the programme onto my eReader so that I don't have to print it out. I am just going to print the Fish Extender list so that I can make notes on that.

I will head into town to pick up the last few odds and ends and have a Fish Pedicure. When I come back, I hopefully make my last magnet, pack the carry on and finish my trip report for the WBTA. Tomorrow I will have a very hectic day at work, but when I finish, I am heading straight to the airport hotel and I am officially on vacation.

I'm sorry I need to clarify my Internet offer...lol I feel like comcast...I can help people with Internet while we are at port canveral and about the first 30 minutes of our voyage. After that I wont have cell service so i can't share. So it's basically enough to help people with last minute Internet needs that don't want to pay for the ships stuff. Like jeff said I have the ability to turn my cellphone into a wi-fi hotspot.
