Ok guys, here's the deal. If you are on this list, you are fine. Please email me at monorailpilot@gmail.com only if something isn't right. The order is

7128 - 2 - 1
7046 - 2 - 1
8064 - 2 - 1
2560 - 2 - 1
2118 - 3 - 2
6044 - 2 - 1
2081 - 2 - 1

The following people need to send me the last names of the party so we can get tickets to you.

7618 - 2 - 0
6321 - 1 - 1
7052 - 2 - 1
7528 - 2 - 1
6303 - 1 - 0

If you aren't on this list at all, please e-mail me with first/last names, stateroom and # of bottles you are bringing. If you are on the list and can't make it at 1:30 on the first sea day, let me know.

There is no charge from the cruise line for this event, however I will be paying the corkage fee and for wine and cheese platters. I'd *appreciate* if people kicked back $10 pp but if you really can't let me know and we'll do what we can. If it turns out that we manage to keep some of the bottles off the bill, I'll figure out how to resolve the balance if I end up positive.

I think we should have a de-corking contest on a deck somewhere before we go to the party and let a few people line up to compete on who can remove the most in a set amount of time.

Not only fun for us to watch but then all the bottles are de-corked with no fees =)

tickets? huh? how's this working? and how do you want the money - will it be charged to our stateroom? if not will you take a check? or do you need cash?

The tickets are to ensure there are no party crashers. There will be no charges to the stateroom. I'd obviously prefer cash, but if that isn't possible, you can purchase me beer later throughout the cruise.

Yeah, I'm not about screwing Disney over money for helping set this up, but I won't have an issue if a few bottles just happen to appear.

For those not familiar, the goal is to basically sample all sorts of regional wine, so take small pours and enjoy. And meet and greet the people who brought it :)

Jeff - my stateroom (you know which one) should be two bottles. Are we being charged per bottle for corkage or something?

Good lord you are going to have more beer than you can drink. I offer assistance.

If you've been to a party for the senses - treat it like that...little taste of wine, move on to the next one...and try Virginia wine!!

Is anyone heading over to Universal Studios on Wed? We were going to take a taxi over unless someone has a better method they could suggest. It seems as though the people said the bus system is complicated.

We are staying at Bay Lake on Tuesday night then checking out Wed morning heading to downtown disney for a few hours then we were going over to universal city walk on Wed night to see Blue Man Group. Then we return to Animal Kingdom Lodge for Wed. night.

It's cool we will bring our bottle and play by the rules =) and bring cash to pay you. Thank you for organizing this event!

We are bringing wine from the Southern California Temecula Region. http://www.temeculawines.org/

A great big thank you for everyone who organized the events. I've done a lot of this in the past and I know the frustration. Jeff you are amazing for organizing most of this thread. If I can help anyone please let me know.

Jeff,
This is a really dumb question and I'm surprised I'm asking it...But what's to prevent me from bringing my own corkscrew and walking around to all the rooms 5 minutes before we meet and uncorking everyone's bottle so that when we get there we don't need a Cast Member to do it?

(I mean I have one of those fancy things that you lower on push the lever lift up and it's out hehe)

I'm not saying this to avoid paying you money...just wondering if Disney really needs it after the craziness and for this many bottles.

Nothing unless they post someone at the door, though I doubt it. Now, I'm sure if we have 30 bottles and they charge for 20, we'll be fine. If we show up with 28 open bottles, they might notice.....

so, hate to sound greedy but so i know what to pack - do they give silver (3rd cruise - that's silver right) a beach bag every trip?

So nice that room assignments for all these events are finally happening.

Good news, it looks like we have the Cadillac Lounge on the 8th from 1:30-3:00 for the Wine M&G. Still hashing out the last bit of details, but at least something came back.

I glad that you finally got this sorted.

Can someone please explain about what to do if we dont have the location for the Champagne Girls by the end of the weekend? Is there a particular room where the update will be posted so I know the date/time/place? Or will there just be a ticket waiting for me in my room with the info on it? We leave for FL very early Monday and wont have Internet access after that. I cant believe DCL is so disorganized on this, so frustrating for all of us planners!

On the WBTA, DCL delivered the tickets for the tastings in the morning before the tasting. The ticket stated what it was for, the time and venue. So if the worst comes to the worst, you would find out that way.

if there is ANYTHING that ANYONE wants added, speak now or forever hold your peace:)

I assume you have the MouseAdventure on the High Seas listed? (That's the real name for the "Scavenger Hunt" and it would be great if it was listed that way in the program!

Thanks so much!

Yes, you do get the gift for every cruise. I don't know when you have last cruised. On our second cruise in 2008, we got a proper beach bag, which I love and take to work most days. Our third cruise in 2009 was the first cruise on which the new gift was given out. The bag now is more like a drawstring tote. You can find a photo of the current gift here:

I am glad that this is now sorted. I just remembered that I need to pick up one more gift for my Secret Mickey. I had nearly forgotten.
