Does anyone have a theory as to why our cruise keeps showing as no availability? Surly it can't be sold out this close to leaving. Maybe it's just me, but i would think that planning a 2 week cruise, around $2k a person, 5 weeks out is just not feasible for a lot of people. For a while, when DCL was assigning rooms, it made sense to have little availability so they could give everyone what they wanted, but now the upgrades and assignments are pretty much done. Do you really think they are close to full capacity, or is DCL just messing with us :confused3

If you call DCL, will they give you an honest answer if you ask if your cruise is sold out? Or at least close to being sold out?

Last day of school today for 2 months ! Yeeehaaaa !!! :cool1: DD1 has a fun day at her school (she missed a prize at presentation day... just - she was runner-up in Geography *pout* ;) )

The younger three have their presentation day this morning at 10am, and will be finished by lunch :)

Then I can finally start doing some fun things for the cruise, like planning clothes (instead of doing the mundane uniform thing....)

Teddy bear and cuddly function ? Maybe...... My Snoopy is retired from travelling now, as he is literally falling apart at the seams. Besides, it would probably be sacrilegious to be taking a Peanuts character on a Disney ship, wouldn't it ? ;) The only replacement to him has been my kids. No room in the bed for something cuddly when you're sharing it with a squirmy baby / kid occasionally. That said, DD3 often insists I "babysit" her fluffy Puppy, so I could take him along !

Kay - you've got email !

That's all folks. Have a great day / evening !

3 weeks left for us !!!

Cheers,
Sally :)

I cant imagine they would mess with not selling available rooms, could be no rooms left but a lot of singles, thats what happened on the trans atlantic.

Kay - I can't say it was in my junk mail or I missed it or anything - and you know that because I responded. I was just plain forgetful and that is rude and I am really sorry. But, payment has been sent.

Well, work has been a beast for several weeks now and I am so looking forward to vacation. Heck - I am looking forward to Saturday!

Gosh, I wish that would mean my cast member friend signed up for it!

I will put a note about our stuffed friends on page 1 post 2. If you would like to attend a "stuffies" meet, please PM me with your stuffed friend's name in the subject line.

Ashore time is 7:45 in Cabo. I booked a tour that was supposed to start at 9:30 but got an email today stating it is actually 9:00. They stated that it takes about an hour to tender and that we would be cutting it close. Does it really take that long to tender? I guess even if it doesn't, we aren't allowing time for if we are late coming into port. Wished they wouldn't have changed the time :(. I really thought that an 1 hour 45 mins would be plenty of time.

Hi there,

I have the following scheduled to pick up thier lanyards at the terminal/ship. The rest have been mailed out. (everyone should have recieved them by now with the exception of the 4 who paid me last week or so - those went out today) If you prefer to have them mailed to you - please let me know ASAP. I also have paid next to those who have paid for thier lanyards already but are picking them up at the port. If you have paid and I don't have it posted - please let me know so we can track it down but I think everything is correct based on what people PM'd me on thier choice. If you have decided to pay in advance - you can still do that. If you still wish to pay at the port - that's no problem at all - I just ask that you have exact change and in cash please.

Thanks!

Thanks!

What kind of list? What we are doing or what Disney is doing?
Jeff will be putting our list on the website once we have firmer plans.

I am wondering about the different Disney events like mexican night, pirates night etc. so I know what clothes to pack.

Thanks

What tour is it?

It's a whale watching tour that I booked with Cabo San Lucas Tours. Guess I should have gone with the one Lori organized but my son really wanted to go on the "pirate boat"

The company had good reviews and I do appreciate them warning me of the time it takes to tender but disappointed that they have the time wrong posted on their site.

Carmie, I'll see if I can pull some strings with concierge to get you early tender passes ;)

Here's another Hanukkah song, "The Dreidel Song" by Disney animals.

Linda, did you keep track of this or do I need to dig the list out?
(I got the list of nights from concierge at one point at posted it)

Question for those in SoCal (or anyone really that goes to DL often)--how is Fantasmic at DL compared to the one in WDW? I was never fond of the mass crowds for the WDW one and how people would wait up to 2 hours before it to get seats. What is the viewing area like for the one in DL, and how early do you need to be there for it? Is the show better or the same as the WDW one in your opinion?

Jill -- I try to print out a copy of the "nights" and bring it to lunch tomorrow.

Carmen -- I hope everything works out for the pirate cruise.

Still no cruise docs here. I called DCL today and the said the docs have been processed and will come directly here, not to Dreams Unlimited. Then I called Dreams and checked on transfers. They had us listed from MCO to the port and the port to MCO. I had to have it changed since none of it worked.
I want my docs!

Not a regular at either park but I have seen both there are plus and minus to both. AT WDW you sit and the show felt closer. AT DL they use the Mark Twain paddle boat at the end with all the characters onboard and it is gorgeous.

Yayayay ! School's over for the year !! Finally, some down-time.

Tenya - how annoying not having your documents yet :( I hope they arrive quickly.

Nicole - we've booked Premium Viewing for Fantasmic at DL. I'm hoping we enjoy it. We paid a decent amount, but for us, not having to jostle with the enormous crowds that will be there the week between Christmas and NYE will be worth every penny. I haven't seen either show, and don't really know too much about it, which is the way I like to go into something like that - with very little knowledge of what it's about.

Carmen - what a bummer about Cabo :( Fingers crossed for you all.

Robin - would you believe my memories of that song is with The Wiggles ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNDPV1YQ9wo Happy 2nd night of Hannukah :)

I had a pleasant surprise today..... DD1 received an award at her final assembly today for great results in an international mathematics competition. I'm sooo proud of her !!

Something else - I'm in a quandry with my work.... I've accepted the job at the school for next year, which I'm thrilled with (school holidays off !), but am trying to decide whether to keep my other job on a casual basis. I'm so tired of working weekends, but the extra money would mean so many extra "goodies"...

Also already thinking about the planning of our next holiday (we're going on a Sth Pacific cruise at Easter), but thinking of what to do with our FF points. We'll have more than enough to take all of us anywhere except Europe - we were thinking of going back to the US and Canada, but we've also both always wanted to go to Sth Africa and Zimbabwe. Anyone been and can let me know of what your itinerary was like ? Maybe we can have a "holiday planning" session on board !

Gosh, that's more than enough prattling, isn't it ? DH is away at a conference tonight, so it's just me and the kids - so it's ravioli and garlic bread infront of a video ! :3dglasses

21 sleeps to go !

Cheers,
Sally :)

I am also wondering....while the schedule on page 1 is helpful it doesn't really tell me what outfits are required...can someone shed some light? I am guessing we need:
1 formal
1 semi formal
1 pirate
1 mexican
but I am probably wrong, haha. Can anyone tell us for sure.

Also, my docs came today! :dance3: I so wish I could have been more active on here :( My life has been one crazy ball of stress! I am trying to get down to things now since we are barely a month out though! I have been sick with bronchitis after already having it for 5 weeks in September. I have been out on temporary medical leave and am going crazy! I won't be performing in this weekends candlelight performance as previously stated since I am not allowed on property during medical leave. Just hoping all this sickness clears up before our vacation. Hope everyone else is doing well and looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Holly
