My little Claudius was quite the thespian Tonight it's DD8 and DD5's turn - DD8 is Lady McDuff in Macbeth, and DD5 is doing a group performance from As You Like It.

Fantastic Mr and Mrs Potato Head costumes ! He's my favourite character in TS.

While I'm at it - a great big "Thankyou" to everyone who's organising, helping, chipping in with all the great things that are coming together for this cruise - I think we've got a fabulous group of cruisers

That's it from me for the day (although I feel the need to mention how unseasonably cold it is here again - I've got a lightweight sweater AND a jacket and jeans on, which is ridiculous, given there's only 4 weeks to Summer ! - don't worry - I'll be moaning about the heat and humidity in a few days' time )

As for the dining rotation being on the card, they normally are. It was discovered on that last Med cruise before the TA that there was a huge error affecting all the DIS people that had linked up and also that had NOT linked up. So they took it off and re-arranged it. Due to time constraints, they left it off. But one of our tablemates demagnitized her key and when she got a replacement, it had the dining rotation on it. So normally, it is still on it but there was a slight mishap and it got pulled.

Oh I am pleased about that. I did miss having it on the key as it was always there to check where you were meant to be to eat! We did get it wrong once this time, though we didn't get to the point of getting to our table and seeing someone else sitting there and then having to sidle out of the dining room unnoticed!!! We sneakily looked if we recognised the Head Servers at the entrance. We hadn't been to the dining room for 3 nights with eating twice up in Topsiders, and then being ill, so forgot where we had last eaten. We did have the dining tickets in the room, plus a whole sheet of the schedule of dining, but they were IN the room, and we weren't!!!

We will, Mr. & Mrs. that is.

Love it!!! I think you are brilliant doing that and you must be fun people. Us? We are soooo boring(well John is anyway) I will be out and about fancy dress watching though.

For those that ordered through Vista.............just received my order and the ladies t-shirt doesn't look fitted or cap sleeve like the picture. Anyone else order the ladies fit and how does your look?


Also, still looking to order Jeff's original design and can't figure out zazzle. If I can figure out how to make the design large would order from Vista, it's so much less money.


Has there been any thought to linking late diners for same rotation?

I had the same problem with the ladies t shirt that I ordered through Vista Print in the UK for the Med cruise. I just looked kind of square with no obvious shape to it. Since then I have been ordering the unisex ones and have been very pleased.

Corinna. I've added 2 to the count number I will be giving DCL on Friday for a Mixology Tasting and Hawaiian Shirt Contest. Hopefully the Special Functions Request Dept can accomodate us. Will keep you all posted.

Sorry to mess you about. It is just me who wants to do this. As far as Graham is concerned, this is too much like hard work.

Corinna - I LOVE your dark blue dress. I think I'm going to have to go on a dress hunt myself (although I do have my standard long black skirt with matching top, which is interchangeable with a couple of other tops - all formal. Decisions, decisions). That's a bugger about the job and the late notification ! My parents loved Dubai - they said everyone must add it to their "must-see" lists.

I would agree that Dubai is one of the must-see destinations. I don't think there is anything in the world that quite compares to this.

Graham was talking to Ducky Williams on the WBTA and he seemed to think that he would be doing the Panama Canal Cruise.

I asked him while on the WBTA in September and he said he would be on the Panama Canal cruise too. He does a presentation while drawing characters and at the end those drawings are given away. You can also schedule time with him and he draws a the character of your choice as you chat. It's great.

He was on our last TA cruise and we did schedule a time with him. He is a great guy-very personable. We did have him do a picture for us= Goofy = of course. When we got home we framed it and it is hanging in our family room. Everytime I go by it- it brings back good memories.

Bob is the best packer - once I get him to do it. He stuffs socks and underwear in and around ours and puts a ring of cardboard around it and then puts it in a plastic bag. Val

I think it is a "man" thing. Garry could always organize everything so well and I am such a mess with it.

That might actually be fun! DH and I would go as Woody and Bo Peep. Not counting on that though.

For those of you who own a Kindle and are looking for a way to circumnavigate those high cell phone bills while on vacation: do you know you can go online while at sea and post to websites such as Facebook? DH & I were on the WBTA and I posted to Facebook frequentle, even while in the middle of the Atlantic! It's slow but it beats the cost of cell phone and Disney internet. You can go to other websites but I was too impatient to wait for them to load. If you don't know how to do it and would like to give it a try, pm me or see me onboard the Wonder. I'd be happy to share me "secret" with you. I have a Kindle 2nd gen. with 3g Whispernet. Other Kindles have wireless and I think you need to sign up with DCL for that at cost. I like FREE better. Slow is ok when it's free.

Ignore this post if you're one of those techie peeps who have already figured this out. My daughter showed me about this and I got so excited! I don't like to drag my laptop around and all I do with my cell phone is make/receive calls. I am a dinosaur!

On our last cruise, we ended up at a table with some nice people. Unfortunately, they were visibly offended when we ate shellfish, and did not approve AT ALL of drinking alcohol. It made the meals very uncomfortable. We would love to pair up on our late rotation with like-minded folks . . .

Anyone for lobster & wine???

That had to make for an uncomfortable time. We have always had the greatest tablemates. In fact one of our tablemates became best friends and we cruised together for years and another couple is meeting me & Ryan in California. We have had great dining experiences.

Jasmine got me up early today & I think there was a reason for that because I have tons of work to do here!

We are expecting snow for the football game tomorrow!I could do without that. It will be the last regular season game, but we are in the playoffs for sure. My youngest grandson plays Sunday for the champship in his league. He is the quarterback. When he was in 5th grade his comment about life was "I'm the quarterback and my girlfriend is a cheerleader, life doesn't get any better than this." Oh, to be 10 years old and fancy free!!

I hope he'll be onboard. I was so disappointed when he didn't get to do presentations on our Baltic cruise. Although it was nice to see him actually taking a non-working vacation. And even though he wasn't working that cruise he still did a lovely print for the 1st Baltic cruise as well.

On our WBTA in '07 I won one of the sketches he raffled off during his presentations. It's of Sorcerer Mickey. I still need to get it framed, but it's stored in a safe place til I do.

I have been busy getting my stuff organized to design my shirt and while I was doing that, I decided to put everything in one place since so many of you were asking for it...
A couple of things to note:
1. I did NOT design any of these images! The credit goes to all of those creative people out there who took the time to create such beautiful artwork! My only contribution is to put them in one place
2. I don't guarantee the quality of any of these images. I did my best to find the most clear image, but what I can see on the screen may be different from what you end up with.

Anyway, I hope this helps in your planning and shirt design endeavors.

Oh, one more thing...here are a couple of helpful hints I stole as I was looking for the images.

TO GET THE 50% OFF ON SHIRTS:
I just ordered 4 t-shirts from Vista Prints, have never ordered from them but read here the quality was acceptable. I uploaded this great image (see post 79 by Brooklyn). I found a pretty good price, $29.11 for 4 with image upload and shipping. http://www.couponcabin.com/coupons/vistaprint/ has a number of promotion codes you can review. I used the first one, the 50% off. The image is now on their files, 3TDZ4-DA412-3X1, so if you want to order it from them, you won't be charged the image upload fee (if there is a problem accessing it let me know and I can have you use my account password). val

TO DOWNLOAD IMAGES:
Go to FILE-->SAVE PAGE AS-->Name the page however you want and save to pictures. That will save a file of ALL images on the page you saved. Go to your pictures file and transfer whichever ones you want either directly to Vistaprint (or some other shirt site), or put them on another document if it is easier for you.
If you download directly to a shirt site, go to DOWNLOAD IMAGES on the site, then go to PICTURES, scroll to whichever file name you created (from info in above paragraph), open the file and find the image you wish to use.

I hope Ducky is on the ship as I would love to get a ducky print. Have not done any shirts yet. I am not sure Mom would wear one. The person wanting to go to Universal they are 3 ways. Taxi one way is about $40. rental car was cheap about $45 with tax but they charge $15 to park. Mears will pick you up and drop you off when ever you want for $18 a person r/t must call 24 hours. We wanted to do that but it did not happen we did other things.

Ok so I was CRACKING UP when I read this!!! After our last night together you know that this family would not have been happy with us either! LOL

My DD has 'won' 3 Ducky prints on our previous cruises with him, and one night after dinner we saw him on Deck 4's railing where we stopped to say 'hello and how much we enjoyed his presentation'...lo & behold, he asked DD (then 7) what her favorite character was, then proceeded to quick draw Sorcerer Mickey complete with Mickey & Ducky signatures...of course she was thrilled! Ahhhh...another Pixie Dust moment....


Has the Pixie Dust Upgrade / Room Assignment Fairy appeared for anyone? I just checked our reservations (we were assigned a room...specifically selected it and thought I had placed a do-not-upgrade order) and we are now "GTY"...taking deep breaths and counting backwards before I call DCL...
